'Cahoot dropping their rates' was perhaps referring to the Cahoot Simple Saver (issue 4) which is dropping from 4.85% to 4.35% AER tomorrow (11th February)
Thanks, yes it was the Simple Saver that drops to 4.35% tomorrow that I was referring to.

"As the Chase saver rate is tied to the Bank of England base rate, we'll be updating it. The standard saver rate will change from 3.5% AER (3.45% gross) variable to 3.25% AER (3.2% gross) variable on 13 February 2025.

    In case you missed it

From 19 February 2025, the AER on our Chase saver account will change from 1.25% to 1.5% below the Bank of England base rate. This means the standard Chase saver variable rate will be 3% from that day."

    Are my maths correct?

If you have the bonus 6 month 1.5% boost on top of the saver rate (5% inclusive) it has now dropped to 4.5% after all the recent deductions?

    0.25
    0.25

    Thanks

Your rate is 3.50% the same as everyone with a 1.50% boost so an overall rate of 5.00%
The rate will drop on the 13th by 0.25% to 3.25% for most to match the BoE rate reduction but as you have the bonus yours will be 4.75%
On the 19th the rate will drop another 0.25%, as they are reducing their tracking rate, to 3.00% for most but 4.50% for you

For those holding a Barclays Rainy Day Saver, they've scheduled a further decrease in May in addition to the change in two day's time (source).

    For balances up to £5,000...
    Currently - 5.12%
    13th Feb - 4.87%
    6th May - 4.61%
And if you factor the fee it turns into 3.41% on 6th May.
