So have most people paid £999 for this deal or the instore price of £899 in Scotland (seems to be £999 instore in England). Also has anybody else not got quidco to track, can`t put in a ticket until 28th Jan, do they hope that I will forget! My playstation is coming first and the TV is coming from the factory with home delivery network. Do hope they don`t drop it or leave it in the bin

I ordered this online for £999. Quidco tracked it straight away. My playstation is coming 04/01/08, still waiting for a phone call re the TV delivery.

Argos appear to be still doing the £999 deal (upto 3rd Jan) for Sony 40V3000 plus PS3. You cannot currently order online, but my local branch allowed me to order in the shop - ok so no 5 year warranty that JL were doing, but still a good deal I think. I ordered this morning inc. delivery came to £1004 - 94p.

Just spoke to John Lewis. My TV & Playstation 3 are both confirmed to be delivered tomorrow:T

Just rang Argos, they inform me they are no longer doing the offers and they will not be getting new stock in for further offers, just my luck, and no joy with JL either. So well done to all those early bargin hunters who got this bargin.

After findining this thread only yesterday, i was gutted to think i'd missed out on this deal as its the very TV set i'm after. However....

After ringing aroung JL's i was told only WATFORD had stock, So i rang JL Watford this morning (9.52am) and told them it was extended to 3rd January.
They only had 14 in stock, so she reserved the set for me and told me she'd ask about the PS3 deal,..lo! 10 mins later i had it for £899! (PS3 will be posted out when in stock)
Do not be fobbed off by stores saying its ended, she actually told me that is is 100% extended till tomorrow - so dont take no for an answer!

I rang loads of companies this morning, several john lewis's, comet, argos, even some 'small' online retailers, AV Euronics etc to see if they'd match etc, so after all that work i thought i'd share the results with you:


Comet - not a chance of matching, just TV for £899

Online retails - worse offers than comet

Argos - WERE DOING IT this morning! You have to call them direct though on 08706002020. This offer is for £999 no 5 yr wararnty, still not bad though and delivery is extra @ £4.95.

John Lewis - none ANYWHERE in UK - again apart from Watford, they did it for £899 for me (BEST BET, TRY TOMORROW AM FOR RE-STOCK)
Also, as above, call them and say its definately valid until 3rd Jan! So order under this promotion price.

Hope this is somewhat helpful - just go for it peeps!

Just tried JL Watford, none available now and she could not take an order gor one. I guess it was not meant to be.

Even with the PS3 and 5 yr warranty? Thats seems strange of them to do as they couldn't touch the JL deal in 2 of their stores today??! Prob you mean without the 5 yr Warranty :think:
