New Joiner: Maddy
Age: 26.5
I don't have a clue about inches, but I am 167 cm and 68 kg. (70 with clothes on -fat fat
Main areas I want to lose from: tummy, thighs and bum. Bum is not huge but not muscly, does not look nice.
Excercise: cycling to work (just started!)
gym once a week with proper weights workout
sometimes yoga or stepper if i can make myself do it... (lazy)
Food: trying eating less and healthy but i tend to find you either eat cheap OR healthy, it won't go hand in hand and if it does, the result is boring rabbitfood...
so I am taking the challenge - my personal deadline for fitness is may 2008 - charity bikeride and holiday in june and july - need to be beach-perfect!Total debt £3625.07.
Goals: 1.) DFD December 2008 (snowball) / October 2008 (me:o ) 2.) Salary £30kpa (currently £26450pa) 3.) Slim down to 55kg (currently 68kg) 4.) Start stoozing :j

Come on - start. I'm sure there's people on this thread who may be using such things, and who wish to learn about them."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

No, I don't want to start an argument off based on the poor quality of research that is out there and the situation has improved a bit in recent years with the change in legislation in 2005 but there is still room for improvement (not necessarily through more regulation though).
My personal view is that I don't disagree with them wholesale (they can be useful - eg if you are severely anaemic and your Dr prescribes iron supplements it is a good idea to take them) but that most people eating a reasonably balanced diet don't need them - after all they are not cheap.
Taking them or not taking them is a personal choice but so that people are better armed to decide whether they want to use them I would like to see better quality research into levels of effectiveness and harm to combat or validate the myths that float round about them and to support the provision of better information (overdose, interactions with other drugs etc)£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

But cycled home. This is the 4th time. I intend to do it every day, weather permitting. But it's about 1/2 an hour in, 1/2 an hour back. Will it make ANY difference?
