  • Was doing brilliantly today and well on track for a healthy low fat day and all primed to come in at 1500 calories

I left work early to come home to pack to go to Paris tomorrow and thought I would cook myself something nice and healthy but then....

I got home and discovered I didn't have my keys so had to go round to OHs, he has all the left over party food from new years so of course that is what we had for dinner (duck spring rolls, ham and gruyere vol-au-vents and chicken satay with a HUGE bag of Tyrells crisps that I ate most of) then, while I wallowed in self pity
I felt obliged to eat half a chocolate orange. I have eaten so much cr*p that I feel sick now.

Mind you, on the upside, I managed to keep off the booze despite my distress and have had a no spend day.

Aaargh, weigh in day tomorrow isn't it??? How long does it take for fat to hit the saddle bags and bingo wings?

Not feeling quite so smug today.

Oh god, weigh in day... I'm going to do it first thing tomorrow otherwise I'll forget I know I've put weight on :(

The water thing... I'd do much better if it was weak squash - does the squash added in defeat the object? We always have the sugar free stuff in anyway :)

Nope. I put in fresh fruit juices and water it down.

They're probably not very good for you - but I have a thing about them.

I did a bit of googling earlier this afternoon, squash seems to be mainly accepted as OK as long as you have some plain water each day, just check the cals on it. Just aim for about 8 glasses (2 litres) a day of fluid (more if exercising  or hot and sweating buckets) and you will be fine. If you have more than that regularly then you need to make sure you are getting enough salt and other minerals to combat the fact that you are err 'washing' it all away (God, I am such a geek - I love a good bit of Google research, especially when I can't be bothered to do any proper work)

Well I weighted in last night.... and over Christmas and New Year I managed to put on just a pound!!! I'm really pleased with that!!

So next weigh in is Monday (then back to every Monday) so I am aiming to try and lose something!

  • Right, just off for the weekend so posting a bit early, I (god knows how) managed but I have lost 4lb (I think it must be the fact that I haven't had any alcohol for three days and my body has let go of a load of water because it certainly isn't what I ate, either way not complaining)

See you all, have a good weekend.
