  • Hi everyone, could i join you all please? i have been a member of w8watchers since beginning of july and managed to lose 44 pounds as of 6th december, but was sick the week after and then w8watchers broke up for the xmas break and i returned today and have put 5lbs on in 4 weeks  so im back to it as of today.

Our leader is a realy lovely lady and gives us loads of advice and encouragement and i am sure i will get to my goal weight eventualy with hers and your help. Almost every1 put on w8 at our meeting this week so i wasnt too worried bout my w8 gain. our leader advised us to try and drink the 8 reccommended glasses of water a day this week and see what a difference it makes so i am on my 4th glass at the moment!! Ive had 2 nimble bread toast 4 brekkie and a plate full of veggies with gravy including about 30 sprouts which i love, but not sure my workm8s will love when i am sitting by them 2nite:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Exercise wise i just put on a dance cd and dance like mad for about half an hour each day with the curtains closed of course :rotfl:

My measurements are waist 37 tummy 40 and hips 39 and i weigh 12 stone six and am five foot ten inches tall, i have set my goal weight at 11 stone 7 so i have about a stone to lose and would like to fit a size 12 comfertably as at the moment i am a size 14.

I would like to wish every1 here good luck and hope we all feel better about ourselves this year:T xx poppy xx

Hi Poppy, I'm doing WW too, although sticking to the old style (because I've got the books and I can't afford to get new ones or go to a class). Well done on your loss so far! :T

Does drinking 8 glasses of water a day REALLY make a difference? Has anyone tried it?

It makes you feel fuller so you don't eat as much, and it also hydrates you. When you are dehydrated your brain tends to misread the signals and think you are hungry, so you eat when actually all you needed was a drink.

it helps keep your body hydrated which means you go to the loo more, which means you pass more water (which is broken down fat). At least it's something like that!

I've always wondered as I don't really drink much at all.. maybe a few cups of tea or a glass of coke a day.. :undecided
How big do the glasses have to be? As in pints or just normal tall thin ones?
