They say 8 pints but anything is better than nothing, tea makes you hold water so makes you bloated and coke is full of sugar (I love it!)

I dont know hun. I did need the loo, it wasnt just the feeling if you know what I mean :o

Vegetables contain a lot of diuretics. So if you've been eating processed crap and suddenly switch to healthy stuff, then it will make a difference.

It's how faddy diets can hype "Lose 83 tonnes in 60 seconds." Initial weightloss is mostly water.

As is usual in the "Health Professional Recommendation" industry - that turned out to be bollox.

    As did that.

But don't switch to diet coke - it's even worse for you.

Does GH count as cardiovascular exercise? or is it just toning? would ask the trainers at the gym but when they put the sixpack in they take away any sense of humour...

  • I am still here, I am still in the challenge, I walked back from the station yesterday, but had a migraine last night so have been asleep for most of today.

I am going to do my Walking DVD tomorrow and when I go back to work I will walk to and from the station every day. saving 60 quid a month in cab fares (used to get the cab home from the station)

I am not going to change my eating habits just yet as this is going to take some doing, I am going to eat my five fruit and veg each day and go from there.....!

hope everyone else is doing well!
    xx

Hello peeps! Well I have had a good day today! Had Shredded Wheat for brekkie, spag on toast (with no butter :( ) and HM Chili and Rice for tea. Manged to get DD to eat some too...blimin miracle! Chuffed that I made it from scratch...took a while thought, thats the only thing...can take a bit longer! Also had a Carrot, Orange and Ginger juice from my new juicer. Have to use sooooo much fruit and veg though! Also went out for a 5 mile run, glad I motivated myself as it was freezing out there!

Spud, the whole peeing thing is probably down to the SW...I used to get it everytime I started back at SW properly...got very annoying at times! I am not doing SW now, trying to stick to the principles for Brekkie and Lunch and then just eating healthy for tea and no baddie foods. I am however gonna use my juicer...I know when I did SW classes, we were always told that these would be counted as syns...dunno if that is still the case? I hope with the exercise too I can loose the weight slowly and surely....

    Hiya

I've done my sit-ups again tonight under strict instruction (read bullying here) from my hubby. I feel thinner today, but I don't think I have lost any weight. I haven't done badly today with food, although I am about to have toast for supper (have to have my toast).

Re the water, I hate drinking the stuff, but it does make a huge difference. I only ever manage to drink about half what they recommend, but it does work. After a few days you stop needing the loo so much. I also found it stopped my hair being so greasy and my skin cleared a lot too. I only ever drink tea so I need to really force myself to drink water. I must try and stick to water this week ..... ;)
