After all my sage advice last week I went and had a Dominos pizza and a curry (:eek:) so I've put on a kilo. Its not the end of the world, I'll just try that much harder this week:A:A:A:A:A:A0

Well done IA.
I've been to the gym today and they've hidden the scales so you can only use them if you fork out for a personal trainer - great eh? so I took the plunge and bought a pair for myself... not happy with the numbers but sadly pretty sure they are right and I've put 2 pounds back on.
Still at least now I've no excuse for complacency! quite enjoyed myself at the gym and will make sure I get my moneys worth.Mortgage OP 2025 £6200/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Hello out there!.... I am new to this challenge... anyone mind me joining in!?
I'm jumping back on the DFW bandwagon having fallen off in dramatic style this time last year! Also, am trying to lose weight as well as lose debt! lol
I am 27, mother of two - my youngest is 28 months, so baby weight is no excuse! :L I'm also a student nurse and I started the year as a size 24.
So far I have lost 21pounds of weight and am now a size 22.
Debt wise I haven't really lost any this year, in fact having broken two washing machines in as many months, I'm heavier debt wise!
Well, that's me!

ps what happened to the size of the signatures, I dont seem to be able to get as much in there these days! lolDebt Free Wannabe Nerd #2450 -
Hi Mo
I have been hopeless at the weight loss thing this last month, your total loss is great - 21lb, how did you do it?? I need to get remotivated so anything to renew my enthusiasm would be greatly received.
Do you find that you feel any better now that you have lost all that weight? I do, I was about a size 18 and am now a 16 and I feel so much bettereven for the three-quarters of a stone I have lost (only half of what you have managed - I really must try harder), I suffer from asthma and for me that has improved loads now that I am dragging round less weight.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Thanks for the reply, poorandindenial!
That's great about your weight loss, you must be feeling much better, especially with the asthma, that will only continue to get better with each lb you lose! Just remember how you feel going from 18 to 16 and hopefully it will motivate you a bit to get down to the 14.
I actually attend a weight loss class! I know, its not very DFW or MSE of me, however, its not one of the big, fancy, £7 a week classes, its called Lifestyle Slimming, the class is at the bottom of my hill (excercise walking back up it on a saturday morn!) and its only £3.80 a week - I know I could be saving that but my health needs the weight loss and I need the motivation of a weekly weigh in - i cant do it without the class - i've tried so many times!
Keep going, you'll get there!

Morning all -whoops sorry its afternoon now !!!
Well I've had a really bad couple of weeks (5 actually) and am going to restart this again on Monday. Have managed to keep off 7lbs but thats means I;ve put 6lbs on form before I was ill. So come Monday its back to exercise and healthy eating !!!!0 -
A total surprise for me this morning to find that I had lost 1.5kg (I have no idea how as although I haven't been eating naughty things I have been eating more than normal/my allotted calories per day).
Almost at the 5 stone mark (:j).
Does anyone know of any exercises that work the upper ribcage? My wedding dress fits everywhere else just not on the ribcage bit under the boobs, now I could have it taken out an inch or two (its a 36 and I'm currently 38) but I refuse to be beaten and as I dont have to wear it till September I figure I have plenty of time to get rid of those pesky extra inches.
I have been doing situps and rowing but it doesnt seem to be movingI have a feeling as its not strictly muscle its not going to be easy and it'll just happen with the more weight I lose but I want to feel like I'm doing something to help it along so any ideas would be great.

I'm a day late with posting - I have stayed the same again his week. I REALLY need to get back on the diet properly. I am still just grateful I haven't put on all the weight I lost in January.
Mo & Surfbabe - I think your posts might just have given me a bit of a boost. Right, I will spend this afternoon and tomorrow making food for lunch and dinner for the week and then I will have NO excuse to stick to it.
For exercise I have the run of OH's house at the moment as he has gone away and I am looking after it (please don't let it fall down - lol) he has a wii so I can spend a while doing the boxing today (blooming knackering so it must be burning calories) and then am doing a 13 mile walk tomorrow in training for the Moonwalk in 5 weeks.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
