Morning all and it looks as though we are in for another glorious day.
Listed the 2 items that i found yesterday whilst having a clear out and 1 has sold overnight, i've packaged it up and will drop it off at a locker when i go and pick up the pooches flea and worming stuff later from the vets. Once cleared that will be another £5 to hols pot.
Feb cake was made and sliced up, 1 slice eaten and 6 slices in the freezer. Taken out sausages for tonights tea, along with crumpets, bread and ham for sandwiches, found a packet of smoked bacon that i didn't know was there, will use some in a carbonara in next weeks meal plan. Speaking of which i have done next weeks already as DH is away for the week so just myself and DD to feed and her BF a couple of nights also, so i want to try and eat as much as possible out of the freezer to use up some bits, hopefully means a low spend week for groceries as well.
I've boiled up half a dozen eggs this morning (thanks girls) and will pick some salad leaves and radishes for a lovely frugal egg salad at lunchtime.
Going to have a quick tidy up and hoover round as we have plumber calling round later, we seem to have a small leak but the pipework is behind a stud wall (why is it never simple), so i'm guessing part of the wall is going to have to come down to get to it. I'm just thinking chaos and mess and of course it happens when DH is going away for the week cos i just love dealing with tradesmen.
Have a good one xx

Morning all, up with the lark this morning as i could hear DD getting ready for work, she is on a long shift today so whilst she was in the shower I got up and made her lunch for her, she might be in her 20s but i still like doing little things to help.
1st load of washing has been hung out and 2nd is currently washing, going to also wash the kitchen runner rugs as they are looking grubby.
House is lovely and tidy as i cleaned top to bottom yesterday with plumber coming and not sure which rooms he would need to be in, temp fix has been done but is coming back week after next to do a proper fix, oh and part of a wall and ceiling needs to come down, it needs doing so just not worrying about it.
2 burgers taken out of freezer for mine and DH tea will have with homegrown salad and a few HM chips, gooseberry puree also taken out and eaten this morning with greek yoghurt and HM granola. Spotted a couple of bits in the depths of the freezer so going to tweak meal plan and shopping list.
Mr L has sent me a voucher on the app for a free bakery item, must be because i havn't visited for a while so will do tomorrows shop there and will drop off things for CS as it is next door.
Already had a spend this morning £25 topping up doggo's treats so they will be happy when they arrive.
Need to sow some more radishes and spinach today, pick salad leaves and pepper plants need to go into bigger pots.
Enjoy the sun xx

Afternoon all, i've come inside for a while as it has just got too hot out there today.
So lets start with the positives -
DH departed for his week of adventures and the house feels very quiet without him and the doggos have been sat by the gate waiting for him to come home. He messaged me to let me know he had arrived safely across the tunnel.
Smallish shop yesterday at Mr L spent just shy of £60 and i was enticed by a voucher for a free bakery item, chose a sour dough loaf, once i had popped everything in the car i checked my app and decided i would go back in and pick up the free sweet treat and vegetable item rather than letting it go to waste, enjoyed the belgium bun i chose with a cup of tea in the garden once i got home.
Had some money in yesterday so shuffled £200 to hols pot, £100 to joint account and £100 OP to mortgage, made a v1nted sale so that will be £15 winging it's way.
Spent an hour yesterday afternoon in the garden and MIL popped over so i sent her home with some plants i had grown from seed.
I'm meeting friends this evening for a chinese meal, a spend I could now do without but i have commited and it is too late to back out and would be unfair as well. I have underspent on groceries this week so can use some of that money.
Onto the negativemy fridge decided to die yesterday, i have thought for the past couple of weeks that it didn't feel as though it was getting cold enough, anyway it is totally kaput, thankfully there wasn't alot in it as 1 i hadn't been shopping and 2 we had been eating down bits as i knew DH was going to be away, DS has lent me a small fridge he has in his garage that he uses for his beers and soft drinks and i have ordered a replacement so the EF has taken a beating of £500 i just keep thinking that is what it is there for but it is so disheartning. I have paid on my CC to get the cashback and won't need to pay it off until June.
Happy weekend xx

Sorry about the fridge. It's always hard dipping into the EF even if that is what it's for!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Boo to the fridge. I hate having to buy something I’ve already got even if it’s faulty. Typical it happens when the weather is warm 😞I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2
