Redo just wanted to let you know you are not alone in being allergic to sticky willies/Goose Grass, whatever else we want to call it. I can't go near the stuff without gloves and long sleeves as the faintest brush of it on a bare arm or hand brings me up in a rash - most annoying!

Same thing here @kazwookie, the difference 15 minutes makes. 1 year of seeding, 7 years of weeding and all that.@brie, no choice really, I quite like walking and running in light rain though. Better than scorchio hot.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

And swimming when it's raining too. Don't have too many swimming options currently but might convince him indoors that we need to hot tub in a light rain. I think it would be amazing.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Today I discovered it takes about 15 minutes to cut our grass if you don't bother with edging. I've also sorted out a replacement lock for the shed, which I suppose is sort of gardening, and rescued a scrap of a pink honeysuckle that was lying on the pavement. I'm trying to root it in a milk bottle as that's what I happened to have handy.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Didn't get out into the garden yesterday, but have been out today for a quick check (will water the greenhouse this evening). Cucumbers are starting to flower so I really do need to get the greenhouse cleared and space made for them. Aubergines and toms doing OK, peppers a bit slow.
Outside the french beans are still struggling (i have lots more seed, so may well sow more), one squash is looking a bit sad, and the broad beans don't look like they're forming pods. It may well be too cold and windy for them.
The poppies at the end of the garden look stunning, and although there is still far too much hawkweed and creeping buttercup in flower it is starting to look as if the weedkiller is taking effect.
My mum is coming over tomorrow with lily of the valley and japanese anemones, so I'll have those to plant as well as the remaining cosmos.6 -
Not gardening today as such, but I have out the chain saw, sawing up wood for the winter, however rain has stopped play for now.Hopefully it will blow through in a bit.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Yesterday was just watering the greenhouse.
Today (between thunderstorms and torrential rain) has involved planting japanese anemones and lily of the valley dug up from my mum's in a border down the side of the house that gets very little sun and is right next to the sitting room window. Hopefully they'll survive in with the few shurbs there are there (mostly forsythia) and improve the view of the fence. Some iris sibirica, foxgloves, a tree peony, and lots of cosmos have also been planted, and some weeding done.
I'm hoping that tomorrow I'll get the last of the cosmos planted and spend some time in the greenhouse getting it sorted out now it's a bit emptier.
I need to continue building beds in the veg plot, and if I don't have anything to plant in them this year, I'll sow some kind of green manure in them to get them ready for next year.2 -
Spent some of the day doing my HMRC tax return as it was wild rain this morning, the sun is now out so had a wander about the garden and pulled out a few weeds, dead headed and such like.
