  • No additional savings since my last post but I have moved some money from the JSF to a higher interest account - it won't make a difference to the figures that I post here, it's nice to have done something positive towards boosting my savings on a day that I can't physically add to them! 😉

Hi there, just read your savings diary. Those 2 funds are already building up nicely.
I too like the idea of a bulk but fund. Will think on that, i already have a lot of pots!

  • Thanks @~FlowerPot~ 😊 a bulk buy fund is really helpful - when I first started it I used to just save anything leftover from the grocery and petrol budgets into it then I got some extra cash from a tax refund and was able to boost it to a level I was happy with. Now I put £50 a month from the grocery budget straight into it before I spend anything. I'm currently building next years up 😉

£2.02 rewards sent to JSF today thanks to an unexpected spend on my car 🙄🤦‍♀️ I still need to pay for the parts so will do that today and then have a few more pennies to move to the DNF in the next couple of days. Thankfully there was more than enough in the car maintenance pot to cover but it still annoyed me!! 😂

  • @Skint_yet_Again - Thankfully it doesn't have that affect on me but I do get annoyed if dh buys any grocery or household stuff on his card that I have to reimburse!! 😂

A £3.96 payment on rewards to the DNF today - I've spent quite a bit over the last few days on a family visit- worth every penny though 😁

I won't be spending much in the week ahead - I'm currently unwell so will not venture out, we have everything we need veg wise (we'll need fruit but dh will go to the shop tomorrow for that) and plenty of salad stuff - including a massive amount of baby cucumbers!! If I'm better tomorrow I'll make a smoothie and pop a few into that. Not long until the end of the month now and finances are looking pretty good 😁

  • I made the menu plan for the rest of the week and don't need any further groceries so I've decided to move the remaining June budget over to the savings pots. I've kept £20 back just in case but can move it on Monday if we don't use it.

So, £100 each to the DNF and JSF 😁🙌
