This would provide an "immediate" highlight should there be a fraudulent transaction.
Which cards provide such a feature?

RBS (+NatWest presumably) and Chase can give app alerts (with more context and info than a text). I imagine other banks are similar. I sense a general move away from SMS/text.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards, Savings & investments, and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. My Amazon card used to, so I suspect any/some cards issued by New Day may still have that feature.0

I don't kniw any that provide an instant SMS text message, but there are lots that provide instant notifications on your phone. I know that Amex, Capital One, and Barclaycard allow instant spending notifications through their apps.

Tescos credit card - no texts but in line with most others they provide immediate notifications on your phone. You can also change the parameters for the notifications (spend amount etc).

Halifax, Starling, Chase, Nationwide do through their app, First Direct don't (or at least mine doesn't).
Few will do it through SMS these days as its insecure and costs more than doing it via their app.0 -
Tesco Bank credit cards does push and sms/email.
Instant push notifications to your phone - transactional - you can chose to set for all transactions or just those over a certain amount. And you can chose alerts for contactless, online, foreign or all.
SMS/email notifications - account management - related to reached credit limit; payment due in x days; balance is more than; balance is within £X of limit; balance is less than0 -
Barclaycard
Push notifications. Not sure what they can be set for, doesn't seem to be as specific as Tesco. Says Account Updates so not sure if that is additional to transactional notifications or not.
You can set up Text Alerts via Online Banking to sent texts (presumably) if your balance is running low or when send/receive a large debit/credit

Virgin Money
Push notifications for all spending/over certain amounts; type of spending - in person, online or cash withdrawal; spending abroad.
Account management stuff tends to be emailed automatically to you - not sure if can add SMS alerts.0 -
I don't have a Chase credit card but the push notifications on spending from the debit card are blooming quick - frequently before I've got out of the shop!1

Santander send texts, bit only for transactions over £25. They're instant though unlike Halifax app notifications where it can take a few hours to come through.0
