Is the OP wanting credit card with notifications though?0

Not entirely sure - I don't spend on the barclaycard - am using it for a balance transfer stooze. Push notifications are set up in the app from: More > Settings > Enable push notifications. The Text Alerts thing I've never tried so don't know how quick they are but it does read as if they are more account management alerts than transactionssafe_hands2 said:

Push notifications. Not sure what they can be set for, doesn't seem to be as specific as Tesco. Says Account Updates so not sure if that is additional to transactional notifications or not.
You can set up Text Alerts via Online Banking to sent texts (presumably) if your balance is running low or when send/receive a large debit/credit
Santander send texts, bit only for transactions over £25. They're instant though unlike Halifax app notifications where it can take a few hours to come through.0 -
Unclear but they seem to want immediate SMS rather than push notifications but SMS can never be relied upon to be immediate or even same day.safe_hands2 said:Is the OP wanting credit card with notifications though?
I think the consensus is that push notifications via the relevant banking app is the way to go as they are pretty much instant and generally can be configured to meet your transaction alert needs.0 -
Ahh, thought they'd made some improvements! I've got push notifications on but it doesn't notify on spending.tizerbelle said:

I prefer push notifications, but the Halifax ones can be very slow. Whereas Santander SMS is always instant. Just wish you could set it up for all payments.tizerbelle said:

Thanks, I'm with Tesco and hadn't noticed that new (?) feature.Billxx said:Tescos credit card - no texts but in line with most others they provide immediate notifications on your phone. You can also change the parameters for the notifications (spend amount etc). Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.Colin

Are you on iOS or Android? Wonder if there's different functions on each?mumto2girlsandaboy said:My Barclaycard sends a notification whenever I spend on it0 -

Hi, although I originally said SMS notification, it seems that push notifications via an app are faster and more reliable.
