A bit late coming back to this challenge! Just updated my spending diary and wanted to report in:
lil_me - my January totals are as follows: Budget set £250, spent £275.80.
Yes, I overspent! I'm quite disappointed because I had it under control for most of the month, but then I stopped writing lists and trying to save money which is when the deed must have happenedOh well, it's not too bad I guess!
Thanks lil_me for all your hard work!IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -

Spent £5.00 on a japanese meal in London when I went to see Linkin Park :j (such a good day) and managed to get loads for that; 4tofu maki rolls, 4 avocado maki rolls, 4 cucumber maki rolls, 2 tofu wraps and a bowl of miso soup all vegan and all really yummy  . I think I did really well for that. I know it's cheaper if I make it myself but to have authentic sushi is amazing and I hadn't had it made by someone else for quite a long time. I've been told by my boyfriend that he's buying me a sushi mat for valentines to make it easier for me to roll my sushi :j cheap but will do so much more use than a bunch of flowers and chocolates lol.
Overall Spend of budget = £37.35.
Overall left of budget = £2.65 :T .I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
Sorry I am late posting - have been really busy at work.
I'd set myself a budget of £280 I think, ended up spending £217.88 - YAY!
Although the figure was a bit arbitrary as it was my first month doing this in a long time.
For Feb I'll try to lower it a bit.0 -
Another one late updating their January spends, sorry! Budget was £175 and final spend was £158.650

Well I came in at £366.10 for the month on a budget of £300, BUT it would have been much less if my DH hadn't insisted we "go for a coffee" each time we are in town. It turns out to be a coffee, teacakes/hot snacks, etc. The total for that lot for the month was £50.80! I did say last month before I started this challenge that we wouldn't be doing that again as it's always so expensive, but £50.80 is much less than we would normally spend in a month on snacks. I always prefer to go shopping on my own because of this. Anyway, Feb challenge starts tomorrow for me.0
