Utter nonsense. 

You are unable to stop to read and consider the contract being offered to you because there are double red lines even before the sign.

If you do not accept the terms of the contract you are unable to stop.

If you do not accept the terms of the contract you are unable to do a U turn to leave because of the double white lines.

And it's literally followed by a zebra crossing sign warning you that you may be required to stop, with another sign underneath stating that stopping so not to kill a pedestrian will incur a £100 charge.

Completely unenforceable contract.

Did you thank them and tell them you would prefer them to pay you the £185 they have offered by via (insert preferred method of payment and date here)?

I did answer the call saying that I was delighted that they wanted to settle for wasting my time and breaching GDPR and asked how much they were going to pay me, that confused them somewhat. 
@Car1980 - which claim form did you want to see? Is this the N180?

Have just had my mediation call. Mediator said that VCS are claiming that my defence is null and void because 'there were no temporary traffic lights present' and that there is 'no photographic evidence to support this' despite VCS sending me a Charge Notice with a picture of the temporary traffic light on it!!! 

Honestly can't believe these people. 

Mediator seemed pretty floored by this and, needless to say, I didn't settle.

Hopefully the mediator will pass the claimant's comments to the court. In any case, you should refer to it in your WS and at the hearing that VCS are either incompetent or are deliberately telling untruths (in your opinion) in order to mislead you.

I'm going to pm you with some (hopefully) useful information.

PLEASE tell the CJC that parking firms MUST BE STOPPED from this abuse; they are using the Mediators to support scam court claims..

PLEASE tell the CJC what parking firms are doing to consumers and bringing the county court service to its knees.

You are an important source of evidence to inform the CJC.  None of these inflated, greedy rubbish 'parking claim' cases should be waved through MCOL for a mere £35 without a second look by any human.

These firms are using MCOL and the free Mediator (handed to them in a plate to support claimants, which is horrifically unjust for victims of parking firms who feel bullied into settling) as a cheap form of intimidation and debt collection.

This isn't justice.  Why is HMCTS not just allowing this but positively enabling it? Rogue parking companies are ruining people's credit and clogging up the family courts with half a million utterly meritless parking claims per year. Causing 90% CCJs and with little or no intention of attending hearings.

It's got to stop. Please join us by responding this week to that Call for Evidence.
