    Ok, thanks everyone.

I am just wondering, who makes the decison for PIP, do they work weekends as well? or just Monday to Friday?

I forgot to ask, when I had my assessment over the phone, the lady said, what do I do in my spare time, and I just said, I watch TV, as that is all I can do at the moment, and then what she asked was very random, she asked if I use social media. Do the assessors check Facebook? not that I have got nothing to hide, but I just thought it was a strange question.

No, it indicates a few things, cognitive ability, potentially following instructions, ability to do something repetitively,  eye hand co-ordination, fine motor skills ect.

The decision is taken by a DWP Decision Maker. They 're supposed to consider all evidence but as advised they nearly always go with the commissioned report that hopefully you'll receive very soon. They will work weekdays, maybe Saturday, and yes not bank holiday Monday. Decisions usually take some weeks after the assessment hence the value of getting the report as you have requested as it can either ease anxieties or buy time to prepare for potentially challenging a decision to come.

These questions asked are very commonly asked including often with reference to hobbies and/or typical daily activities. This is standard and to establish the kinds of activities and interests you have that can indicate your disabilities or abilities - the above poster gives examples but they could be extensive depending on answer of course. Using social media may imply for example you have no difficulties reading and understanding information. (The assessor will not check facebook). For many claimants I imagine that some of the questions like these will seem out of place but it needs to be understood that directly asking questions may not always give full, truthful or accurate information.. so building up a background of information can give context as well as understand what that person's reality is. If this doesn't make sense to you let me give an example... as an assessor I could ask you if you if you have difficulties socialising with people and get an answer but I could instead find out from your interests that you like going to the pub which implies you do not have difficulty socialising (they may never follow up to ask if you actually enjoy being there or talk to people). It's a technique police can also use in interrogations and is certainly one I've faced (when I was suspected of a bombing they particularly wanted to build up an understanding of my education and interests in science... rather than ask if I'd built some bombs recently which logically someone would deny regardless of truth they wanted to figure out if I had the capabilities or interest to make any).

So hopefully this coming week your report.

I can assure you that I do have social media (Facebook) but I don't understand words and to spell it, as I use Google spell check like when I type a certain word, it will come up with the correct spelling in case I spelled it wrong, and also ask Alexa to spell it for me.

I am dyslexic, and I told the assessor that, I told her I struggle with words and to spell them.

Hi, I need to ask a question. Let's say if I do get awarded PIP, will I need to let Universal Credit know on my journal to let them know that I have got PIP if I get it?

No.. PIP does not affect Universal Credit.

Try and distract yourself until that report turns up :)
