Not exactly a reliable source of news and no press release issued by Santander (yet) that this offer is ending today.Bridlington1 said:For those considering taking up this offer you may wish to get a move on. Santander £175 switch offer is due to end at 23:59 tonight.
EDIT: Press release just released.

I've found it's been pretty reliable when it comes to confirming the end dates for switching offers/launching of new accounts etc. It's one of many sources I use to find out info about savings and banking more generally.danny13579 said:

EDIT: I've just seen your most recent edit. I'll rest my case there for now.1 -
Just checking what Santander consider a 'month', trying to avoid the £3 fee
Applied and account opened 29/05 (switch date ASAP completed 06/06) paid in £4000 07/06, so just the last step set up 2 direct debits but I need to clear the month so I don't 'qualify' for the Edge rewards and monthly fee
i.e. should I wait until 08/07 or can I just crack on from 01/070 -
I'm trying to avoid the fee too!
Paid the £1500 in straight away and then straight into the Saver.
I'm waiting 31 days after opening the account before setting up the DDs.0 -
The terms state:Johntea said:Just checking what Santander consider a 'month', trying to avoid the £3 fee

They then go on to define a monthly period as follows:
I would wait until they generate a statement first and then set up the DDs.2 -
I have just been told that anyone who applied previously since 2021 will not get paid is this correct?
Customers who benefitted from our Q4 2021 £130, Q1 2022 £140, August 2022 £160 and £175, January 2023 £200 and £185 18th March 2024 – 4th April 2024 switcher offers were not eligible for the offer.

Santander operate on a monthly cycle starting from the date you opened your account (ie. 29th through to 28th of the following month based on the opening date you've said).Johntea said:Just checking what Santander consider a 'month', trying to avoid the £3 fee

While this is usually true, month-iversaries can slightly vary, especially in February due to there being fewer days.PRAISETHESUN said:

My month-iversary used to be the 1st of the month, since February it's been the 3rd of the month.
You should be fine from 1st July onwards, but waiting for your statement to appear in your online banking is the best thing to do. You have until 28th July to get your direct debits set up to qualify for the bonus, but as that's a Sunday I'd have them set up before the 26th.3 -
You can't ever have received a switching bonus from Santander.Trappy said:I have just been told that anyone who applied previously since 2021 will not get paid is this correct?

I'm switching to Santander Edge from a bank account that already has five Direct Debits on it. Do I still have to add another two Direct Debits to receive the Switch Bonus? As terms & conditions seem to suggest that?
