Parking Charge Notice: Parkingeye, Sainsburys Eltham

  • Thanks Coupon-mad.

Have completed the survey.... 3 tickets in the space of 2 weeks, so I've got something to say now!

Greenwich Parking came back from my second "kindly, please, goodwill" plea with this:

I can only repeat what has already been said.   We only cancel PCNs where they have been issued in error or in very exceptional circumstances. Unfortunately, the circumstances you outline do not meet our criteria. Your appeal should therefore be directly to Parkingeye. As the ticket was issued on 20 April, I would suggest this Appeal be lodged ASAP.  In addition to the App, there are 7 payment machines in the car park. You can pay using numerous payment types including Apple Pay.   The fact that you had successfully parked using the App previously has no bearing on this incident.   We cannot liaise with Parkingeye on your behalf.

Based on the above, and the fact that I admitted driving (my life before MSE🙄), am I now best to pay the £60 whilst I still have a few days left at discounted rate?  Or worth POPLA but not likely to win?  What do you think?

Ignore them. No.  Do not pay.

  • Thanks Coupon-mad.  So just to be clear. No POPLA, no payment.  Then I imagine next stage will be more letters from them, and then possible threat of court.... all of which I ignore....  have I got that right?

    Many thanks

There are 2 things you deal with inside the next 6 years

A formal LBC that precedes a court claim, usually from a legal firm, or the claimant ( not powerless debt collectors. )

A court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL

Meanwhile you keep trying plan A,

  • Hi there.  Feeling a bit anxious about this.... I've got a claim form today for above parkingeye Sainsburys Eltham.  Do I just fill this in?  Anything I should be aware of in advance?  Much appreciated any advice you can give.  They are claiming £210, plus the court is in Northampton!  Would I have to go?

The court isn't in Northampton and you don't fill in any paperwork.

I'm not sure why it seems over recent months you look to have forgotten that the NEWBIES FAQS thread exists?

Second post of it is your stage. Easy template defence awaits you.

  • ok, apologies, my mistake.  I am confused as I don't have a "letter before county court claim".... this isn't a letter, just a claim form.  On this claim form it states: Court address, and then Northampton address.

I don't think I've had a LBCCC - I think they have just jumped straight to claim with this form?

Your NEWBIE advice is great, but when you are anxious it's sometimes difficult to think straight....

The claim form vs the LBCCC is confusing me, but if my claim form is the same as LBCCC, then I think your advice is to email enforcement@parkingeye.co.uk below, and to NOT fill in the form.

Have I read that correctly?  I've NOT to fill in the Claim Form from the Civil National Business Centre?

Many thanks in advance, much appreciated as always.

    PARKINGEYE are a little different
If you get a LBCCC direct from ParkingEye (not from DCBLegal on their behalf) email PEye's litigation team with facts / receipts / blue badge / proof of patronage, to try to resolve the dispute:

    enforcement@parkingeye.co.uk

Treat the ParkingEye email as your 'last gasp' chance to appeal. Alternatively, they'll accept you naming the driver & postal address (and should reissue the PCN and start again with the driver being allowed to appeal).

What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?

Can you please show us a picture of the Particulars of Claim - with personal detail hidden of course.

I  confused why you didn't read any further in post 2 of the NEWBIES thread and just stopped at the LBC bit?
