I note that the entry scamera is picking up the VRMs of vehicles on the main (public) road.

    "Entry scamera" - nice one!
  • What does that supposed reminder say under:

    'Date of Notice'

    and

    'Date of Issue'?
    Hi Coupon-mad

    Date of Notice is 20/04/2024

    Date of Issue 18/0402024

Kind of makes no sense for an event at the end of March.  I can't work out when they reckon they sent the actual NTK (if it ever existed) but the registered keeper can easily win this at POPLA as long as you haven't said who was driving in an appeal already.
    Hi
I don't believe anything else was ever sent either.

When he received the PCN in his anger and naivety he emailed VARS to explain the events of that day. He didn't specifically admit to being the driver but referred to himself as "I" e.g. I input the vehicle registration into the keypad etc, etc.  will that be enough to incriminate him.  He didn't get the chance to "appeal" officially as they told him he was too late to appeal.
I have pictures of the email he sent to VARS, and their response. If you think it would be beneficial,  I can post them on here.

Yes please, then we can advise based on what was said. Thanks.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

He could have been a passenger in the car and doing it as a favour to the driver!

  • Hi
I need a bit of technical help please  :)
I don't know what I am doing wrong but could someone please advice lol.  I am trying to up load some pictures but when I try to "Post Comment" it won't post and a red banner comes up at the top of the post saying "Body is 9 characters too short" but it makes no difference if I type extra characters in the message.
    TIA

    Are you sure?

We always advise to just write a few words - just "here is a picture" will do - to get around that message.
In fact, just hitting the space-bar ten times is enough to overcome that.
