    Great!

Ask your MP to ask the MHCLG:

    - what they will be doing to stop rogue 'parking debt collectors' and pseudo legal firms from adding £70 per PCN to inflate parking charges that are already eye-wateringly extortionate at £100?

    - Can the MHCLG confirm that they DO intend to COMPLETELY ban the false 'debt recovery fee' that the previous Government intended to ban and rightly called 'extorting money from motorists'?

    - does the MHCLG recognise that the added '£70 per PCN' is what finds the race to court and intimidatory letters?
Great questions. They educate as well as ask.
i will print them out and present them to her.
    Thank You

Can you ask her to ask the same question of the Dept for Transport?

You can explain that there's an undercurrent (my own instinct, nothing more) that I am fearing the idiotic new Government MIGHT hand the Parking Code of Practice to the DFT (disaster if so).

There's no way that a consumer law/potentially community wrecking policy matter (if they get it wrong) like curbing the parking industry should be given to DFT: friends of the BPA who won't know the difference between real LA penalties and PPC scams.

I'm on the Govt Steering Group so my finger is on the pulse but the code needs resuscitating (and not by the DFT).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Ok
I will present her this question too. I meet her on Friday 13.30.
She has spoken to PCN and they gave a long winded BS reply which concluded with they did nothing wrong are willing to let me just pay £60.00 for each ticket as originally sought. Im going to suggest they wind back further and make it £60 which was the goodwill offer that was withdrawn because i appealed.

Which brings me to the main topic of this thread. The collusion between the PCN and the IAS appeal authority.
Is there a smoking gun that betrays their connection. I'm convinced they are the same people. Otherwise why would i get a letter from PCN a day before the verdict email from IAS? Your help in articulating this concern  in the appropriate language would be appreciated.

    As per NEWBIES:-

''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.

These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint.

    Thanks. I will do
The meeting was rearranged. Its on tomorow morning. Ive printed out the questions  and the quote. The one thing i really need to be sure of and to articulate is that the Appeals people are the same scoundrels as the Parking ticketers. Am I right? And are both looked after by Gladstones?

I'll pm you some Companies House links to show the connections between the IAS, IPC and Gladstones.
