This is for 2 stupid undeserved tickets. I either have to pay £340 now or maybe pay £128.19 more.

They do however provide some interesting information that everyone here needs to know.
No they don't (and we are unimpressed by their threatogram) because those figures would not be achieved by them.  Not exactly 'untrue' but exaggerated double recovery that no Judge would award.

You will pay nothing (and even if you lost in court at a hearing next year, the amount would be UNDER £340!).

We assume you have already searched the forum for Moorside Legal.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Besides the “mugs discount” you appear to have fallen for the “mugs fake add-on fee” of £70 per PCN.

Just take the advice and you won’t be paying a penny.

How does that happen? If they are demanding £340 now, how can it be less after court costs? Is it because the court will not take the "“mugs fake add-on fee” of £70" into account?
That means there really is no need to appease these swine and they rely on fear for payment?

As has repeatedly been said, "They" are powerless debt collectors. "They" cannot take you to court. "They" cannot claim costs. "They" can add on as many fake, non-existent charges as "They" want, but the original charge from the PPC is still stuck at £100, and it is only the original PPC who can issue a court claim.

If that happens, and somehow you lost, you would pay less than the powerless debt collectors are currently claiming.

    UPDATE

Trace seems to have given way to Moorside Legal. I don't  know if its a good thing or not. Trust Pilot gives Moorside Legal 4/5 and they give TRACE 1.5 /5.

They do however provide some interesting information that everyone here needs to know.

    Current Balance         :  £340
    Estimated interest      :  £6.19
    Estimated Court Fees: £50.00
    Est. Lawyer Fees       : £50.00
    Est Judgement Cost  : £22.00

    ESTIMATED TOTAL : £468.19
    ( 2 tickets)

This is for 2 stupid undeserved tickets. I either have to pay £340 now or maybe pay £128.19 more.

I'm still thinking its best to wait. Meanwhile I have contacted Rip Off Britain (who haven't replied).
I am encouraged by the fact my MP is taking it seriously and she has agreed to a meeting with me. I want her to realise how these bloodsuckers drain 1 Billion from the working class every year. By controlling the Parking Industry, the chancellor could save about a Billion without raiing taxes.

The balance is not £340 the debt collectors cannot add on anything they have done nothing.
They use the term "estimated" fees, they are not estimated they are fixed by the court process see how they are bumping up the costs to bully you!

This info needs to be known by all!
Im having a meeting with my MP about PCM. Her office have said

"Our Office is happy to raise this issue at a Ministerial level, perhaps in the form of a Parliamentary Question to start off with, so that we can alert Ministers to your concerns."

So, please send me any points and questions that i should raise. I want to make best use of the time.
The meeting is in mid september

    Great!

Ask your MP to ask the MHCLG:

    - what they will be doing to stop rogue 'parking debt collectors' and pseudo legal firms from adding £70 per PCN to inflate parking charges that are already eye-wateringly extortionate at £100?

    - Can the MHCLG confirm that they DO intend to COMPLETELY ban the false 'debt recovery fee' that the previous Government intended to ban and rightly called 'extorting money from motorists'?

    - does the MHCLG recognise that the added '£70 per PCN' is what funds the race to court and intimidatory letters?
