you painted the shed though, does that deem an acceptance of the shed ?0

I paid via Argos and am having issues with them. They are not co-operating.
I used a shed coloured treatment that has just made the shed more weatherproof. It was the last two panels that i opened as everything was packed in sets of two panels that i realised they had sent the wrong shed. I have spoken with Kybotech and told them what i've done. They weren't bothered that i've treated the shed. I think they'll charge extra to the next person who wants that shed.0 -
Also forgot to say that i had a text and a phone call from Kybotech who i think were calling themselves Garden Buildings Direct and have arranged to pick up the shed tomorrow (23/02/16). Of course no expected time of collection. So another day off work (without pay) and i'm going to have to get up early and shift the whole thing on my own and then sit and wait for them to turn up. Argos are refusing to refund me until the Kybotech inform Argos that the shed has been returned. And then it'll be five working days. I was expecting more customer service from Argos but they've been really bad. I'm very disappointed in them. Will eventually be buying the shed i want from somewhere else. Argos has lost my business.0

Just to update anyone who's interested, Kybotech have just picked up the shed. Had a very interesting conversation with the driver which has answered a few questions i had about this company.
All i have to do now is wait for the refund. But in the meantime i've found a decent shed with a good company and am hoping this will be the end of all this.
If i've learnt anything from this it's to make sure i do a lot more homework before i buy anything. And never bother with Argos or Kybotech again. These companies are absolutely shameful in their attitude towards customer service.0 -
Argos are now saying the shed hasn't been returned and i ignored Kybotechs phone calls yesterday!! I just don't know what to do with these idiots at Argos. They are beyond useless. I've emailed them and Kybotech. But i just can't carry on faffing about with these people.0

Did the driver give you a receipt for the shed he collected?
If so tell Argos to refund or you'll go to the credit card company and do a chargeback.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
I cannot believe I did not check here first!!!
After placing an order over the phone on the 21st of March. Two weeks later, 4th April, only half a shed arrives. The shed was missing the side panels and roof. I asked the driver to take it back as the delivery note said it was all there!
I contacted the firm immediately (this was the first of many more phones calls and emails) I asked for a simple refund according to their 14-day money back guarantee.
After quite a few more calls they acknowledged the cancellation on the 29th of April so much for their 14-day promise!
Yet I wait the return of the money, I have spoken to them today 5th of May and they again say the money is on its way. So I have spoken to Visa again and Visa say there has been no refund.
My only saving grace is that I paid on Visa so I will go to them to recover the money and they will put the balance on hold.
So if you do decide to use gardenbuildingsdirect.co.uk or anyone of the sub companies under the Kybotech brand I wish you the best. But be warned that no-one in customer service will return your call (even though they say they will) and you have to liase with them via their contact centre in table tennis style between you, the call handler and the worker at Kybotech.
So I will take to their Twitter and Facebook pages as surprisingly there are no bad reviews there to see. Obviously they data cleanse any bad reviews away.0 -
Sorry to hear of your bad experience with this company. I did the same as you a couple of years ago and ordered a sentry-box style tool store/small shed from them before having read any of the posts on here. My OH assembled it for me - luckily, he's very handy with this kind of thing (he's an Engineer!) and has a workshop full of useful bits and bobs he could substitute where necessary for the fittings sent to me. Nothing was actually missing in my delivery, unlike yours, but OH said things didn't quite fit together as they should do. Nevertheless he was able to get the thing assembled and it's a good, sturdy shed now that it's up. Given that it was advertised as a straightforward assembly job though, I'm not sure how successfully it would have gone together had it not been for OH's practical skills.
I hope you will be able to get your refund without any trouble.0 -
I have had the misfortune to purchase a summerhouse from this company. Without boring anyone with the full details I will say the construction and quality of the product is a joke and sub-standard. Nothing fits, gaps everywhere, doors don't fit etc.
I have complained and send the details over to their service desk but despite them promising me a reply within 24 hours I am still waiting. I have paid nearly £800 for a pile of firewood.
Any help advice would be greatly appreciated as I want my money back.0 -

Have a read of MSE's Section 75 article and/or MSE's Chargeback document.0
