My pension lump sum was paid out but not to me

You say there is no beef with the other party but do we know that. Although name and date of birth may be the same it is unlikely that period of service matched up as well.
The lump sum may have been very welcome to the Op in 2016 and may even had a effect on the tax paid by them that year.0 -

Unless the OP has a relationship with the party that got the payment, and it might then undermine that relationship, it makes difference if it was King Tut or the Queen of Sheeba that is all down to the pension provider to sort not the OP.
Yes the lump sum may have been welcome and the effect of any monies paid on the tax burden may yet to become apparent but they require 2 separate activities.
One of which is nothing to do with the OP so why get concerned? Why waste emotional involvement?0 -
I logged a complaint and they are now agreeing to give me the value of thelump sum from 2016 plus 250.00 compensation so it is now resolved15
