Nexus won't accept your cheque they want the £170 payment. Have you read Group Nexus Trustpilot and Google reviews? Many reports of difficulty paying £60/£100....

Talking to a lawyer on justanswer, and they say

"Be careful with the wording. You were parked. You may have been doing a delivery but the vehicle wasn’t moving and you were not in it so it was parked.
That guy doesn't know what he is talking about.

You were pointed towards Jopson v Homeguard two weeks ago.

On 10th May you wrote on this thread... "I read it all and I think I'd do pretty good in court considering I obviously wasn't parking there".  (where 'it' is the Jopson v Homeguard judgment)

Here's the link to that judgment...

That appeal Judgment is persuasive on lower courts.

If you haven't got the time or patience to read it all, just read those paragraphs that @LDast pointed you towards on

I have already given you my thoughts on your case, and links such as

    https://www.contestorlegal.co.uk/blog-3/unparalleled-legal-victory-defining-the-true-meaning-of-parking

Perhaps hire yourself a qualified lawyer from the SRA members list if you don't believe our advice ( we give out advice and information, not a qualified decision on your own case. )

    Hi,

I understand that and sorry for the nonstop repeated questions, I'm just scared of paying way more than ~£200, for this case, and it potentially being £400+ or even going into the thousands... Im financially in the shitter
What?  No such costs arise in small claims.  Yes we can guarantee that people who meet all court deadlines (and then go to a hearing but manage to lose a single PCN case) only pay c£200.

    IT IS NOT "POTENTIALLY £400+".

    Calm down. Honestly. Trust us.

The advice from justanswer is useless.  For a start this definition is plainly wrong, going by case law, leading decisions about unloading and the incoming DLUHC statutory Code of Practice:
Be careful with the wording. You were parked. You may have been doing a delivery but the vehicle wasn’t moving and you were not in it so it was parked.
    Utter codswallop.

So it doesn't matter I left my vehicle there for 23 minutes while doing multiple amazon deliveries, and struggling to find where to go as no signage. The length of time I was there is what worries me, i'd rather spend an extra 10 mins or so finding flats, than driving 40 mins back to depot, leaving parcels and another 40 mins back home. i just think the length of time is what will get me in court, since the homeguard vs hopson case, the person wasn't parked for this long...

But even if you lost it's c£200. And we say you are highly unlikely to lose. There's no risk here.

The reason I got this was because I was doing Amazon delivery, with absolutely no legal places to park at all. So if i return the packages, amazon punishes me, if i stay and do the delivery, i get a fine... it's just not fair at all. it's exploitative and predatory. i'm tempted to take this to court. what should i do?

If GroupNexus decide to sue you through the County Court their claim will be fronted by DCB Legal. If so, provided you follow the court processes required of you, this is likely how your case will end. Please read some of the examples shown in it.

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6377263/dcb-legal-record-of-private-parking-court-claim-discontinuations/p1

But, you're some way from that, and it might not even get that far, so relax and see what unwinds. There's not much to do for now, but should you receive a Letter Of/Before Claim from DCB Legal, or a County Court Claim via the Northampton CNBC, come back to this thread for further advice.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hey, so I went back to millwall dock earlier today, i asked the landowner if they're able to cancel the PCN to save myself a court date, they said no. But just before the concierge i saw a sign that reads "deliveries - 30 minutes". however 5 months ago i didnt see this sign and so i parked further down into millwall dock under a sign by groupnexus saying permit holders only. i never told them at the concierge where i parked, i told them i was there for 22 minutes, they said it should be fine then, but i guess if they knew i parked further down into millwall dock under a groupnexus parking sign, they'd tell me i deserve the pcn.

knowing this, do u still think i should take it to court? i remember seeing this sign when i did my delivery there 5 months ago as i was leaving.i think if this is brought up in court i'd lose?

I don't understand your pessimism and you are making this so hard for yourself, for no reason!

This is obviously a cracking bit of evidence so of course you will have taken a photo of this while you were there?
