Its been artificially increased by £70 to £170, but the added £70 is usually dismissed by the judge if it gets to court, leaving only the original £100 in play

The extra £100 or possibly say up to £120 are court costs plus legal fees, so the £200 is a total ballpark figure, whereas I erred on the average total amount of £212 , it definitely wouldn't be higher than the figure on the claim form and is typically around £70 lower than the amount listed on the claim form

So £220 should cover everything for a single PCN court claim , but most probably less, and that is ONLY if it gets to court, you attend court, and you lose in court, with a 30 days window to pay it in full to the solicitors ( or to the parking company if no solicitors are used by the parking company. )

So coupon mad is saying a total amount of £200 for a loss in court for one £100 PCN , the other £100 in that £200 total being the legal fees and court costs

    £100 PCN plus £100 = £200.  That's all.

By defending a parking claim, you are 'risking' being told to pay a total of around £30 more than they are currently demanding, in the highly UNLIKELY event of you having to attend a hearing and losing.

But you won't lose and won't even have a hearing, in our experience.  You WANT a court claim and can ignore every threatogram in between.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Total, the judge should throw out the Debt Recovery Admin fee.

Man.. I'm worried, how do you guys even know I'd 100% win in court? Would I myself need to go to court? Where's it say the judge waives off the extra £70 as well?

It's currently £100 due to them giving another final goodwill gesture. I'm so worried about this going to court, I already can't afford the £100, then if court fees and PCN rising comes around i'd be paying like double... Are you completely sure I'd win in court? I've lost the proof (or deleted it ages ago), I had of me delivering, so I have to wait for POPLA to email me my appeal with the screenshot proof, otherwise I'd have to pay. I have until 17th May, to decide if I should take this to court, or if I should just pay the £100..

What terrible thing is going to happen on 17th May?

It's not your choice whether it goes to court or not.
Yes of course if you pay what they are asking it probably won't go to court, but there is no guarantee that it will go to court if you don't pay up now.

You've had fourteen replies on your thread.
    I've just re-read them all.
How many of those fourteen replies suggested, or even hinted, that it might be a good idea to pay anything to anyone?
Why are you still asking the same question?

On the 17th they're going to raise the PCN to £170. I'm just worried as I already can't afford the £100...

    But you won't be paying!

Everyone laughs at the £170 threatograms!

Its just figures on paper, fictional sums that mean nothing at all, its not real money, not unless a judge in court told you to pay them a sum of money within 30 days of the judge saying so, ONLY then is it actual money

That is if it got to court, and ONLY if you lost in court, until then its Monopoly money on a non existent Monopoly board, its just numbers on worthless bits of paper, no different than a scammer based in africa stating that you owe them £500 and if not paid by the end of May you owe them £1000 , which becomes £2000 by the end of June

I could say that you owe me £60 for this reply, rising to £100 next week and rising to £170 by next month, its just a statement with made up sums, not real

    Hi,

So should I win in court, I'd pay absolutely nothing? Who's to say the judge would apply the case of (Jopson v Homeguard) to my case? I'm just worried about getting !!!!!! over and having to pay £300+, if for any reason you guys are wrong. Are there any policies that state the maximum I'd pay for all this the pcn/court case is like ~£250?
