First load is draped on airer and radiators. Second load is swishing.
I finished knitting the helmet to match the jacket, and I'd started knitting a more complex matinee jacket. First row of the pattern proper and I knew I was doing something wrong as I was going to end up with not enough stitches on the needle. Hmmm. Did a bit of research into yfrn. Oh!. Pulled the knitting down. I now have to start again casting on 145 stitches. I like knitting but I'm not a big fan of casting on.
Lunch first methinks

Me again. Had a lovely soak in bath, did dailies, walked Poppet and we stopped off for tea and cake. Which I probably shouldn't have had as I now weigh the heaviest I ever have. Sports this afternoon has been called off due to waterlogged pitch so I'll be knitting instead. About to put third wash load in, all to be dried indoors of course.Spend less now, work less later.7

Thanks CofG. Lovely morning out cycling even if it's chilly and cloudy here. Off to DSs for tea, having a little sit down before we go out.
No flying done other than a swish of the kitchen and bathroom.7 -
Hi,
Nearly lost the day there, but I have been occupied, if not busy.
Up early, awake before work getting up time. Annoying when it’s the weekend. But we had an appointment at 9am in small town, so not a completely bad idea to be awake early. That appointment lasted longer than I expected, so I treated DH to coffee and a bacon bap in a café. That must have worked, as he vacuumed downstairs when we got home! Wm run and the washing is outside on the airer, pretty much dried in the sunshine.
I have spent the afternoon pottering in the gh. Yes, I should have gone to the allotment, but still wary of digging and twisting with my ribs as they are. And I felt that I had got as much as I was going to get out of DH on the helping front for the day…tomorrow is another day to sweet talk him into digging for me while I supervise…Dinner was supposed to be in the sc, but that hasn’t happened, so now I am scratching around for an easy tea, as we are supposed to out visiting NDNs this evening.6 -
Bother and dash. All was going well until the 8th row of the pattern when I somehow gained a stitch. It's a very lacy pattern so one stitch out will make a difference I think. All pulled down. Again. Sooo looking forward to casting on 145 stitches again.....not 🤦♀️

Good evening 😊
Parkrun done this morning - ran some, walked some - an improvement on recent weeks.
1 xWM
Hair cut & nails done
A few hours spent tidying the front garden - it looks a lot better 👍 I just need to plant up some bedding over the next few days
DD2 & DSiL came over for dinner - I was in the garden still and DH was 'resting' as he 'still feels rough'. I suggested we went out for dinner and we have just got back.
Oh, and it's a girl! 🩷 😁🥰 I am going to finish off the blanket & then start a nice lacy pattern cardigan in the same wool 🙂 I hope you are having more luck with yours now Round7 -
Evening. I heard ASB on the radio too.
I have made three mistakes with my knitting. I'm just hoping nobody looks too closely.
Dinner plates washed.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Evening everyone.Fayolle, I loved French at school but hated German. It didn't help that the teaching for it wasn't very good but even if it had been better I don't think I would have mastered it to any degree. We have a couple of German friends and in the days when we used to travel went there once a year but they speak perfect English so the only things I learned from those visits was menu items. I could eat bratkartoffeln until die kühe come home.
Good that your doing a language study as that is supposed to be one of the best things for the brain .
Goodintentions - congratulations!Valli, how far into the programme was ASB please? I can listen to it on BBC Sounds tomorrow.I had a terrible night's sleep so got up late and most certainly didn't feel zen as I'd hoped. Things got better as the day wore on though. Once I was up and dressed I went to the bakery but I was late getting there and all the cheese straws had gone. I did get A a pain au chocolat though. I then went to Waitrose for a few things and to another bakery and bought a cheese straw there. They're not as good but they're ok. I warmed it in the oven for 5 minutes with a bit of extra grated cheese and some caraway seeds sprinkled on top to ginger them up.I came back, made lunch and WUPA the breakfast and lunch things and S&S the kitchen. I emptied the kitchen bin and took the rubbish down and de-cluttered a vase of tulips. Later I made tea, then supper and WUPA everything. I've done A's night time eye drops and put out his breakfast things and cleaned my teeth already, so I can go to bed soon I hope.
