£5 note has disappeared from cash machines

OK it seems £5 notes are becoming extinct so budgeting using cash the minimum seems to be £10 from a cash machines, even post office doesn't seem to have them, also what I have noticed is the amount of £50 notes usage has increased, if you're withdrawing money, will the £5 note become a coin like the pound note. I know they done commemorative £5 coins in the past, I hope it remains a note.

£5 notes were only ever in certain locations. Most ATM, never gave them. As the dispensers needed filling too often, or would simply run out.Life in the slow lane2

I've only ever found £5 in Barclays machines. Went out of my way when i had less than £10 in the bank.1

Yes the reason seems to be they remain in circulation longer so they're not sent often to be checked but something that was readily available now is given as coins, so where are over 400 million £5 notes hiding.1

When I was uni in the late 90s/early 00s there was only one machine I knew of that gave £5 notes. I suppose they have uses maybe for tipping but not really sure how much use they are these days
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Inflation is always biting, and coins are 'easier' to spend than notes, so it will help augment the need for economic growth. While I was a resident of Thailand the ten baht note was replaced by a coin. Pretty soon there was a clamour to bring the note back because people noticed that they were spending the coins with much more abandon. To no avail, of course...Evolution, not revolution0
