.... I'll move over from the Santander Easy access Limited Edition at 5.2% when that drops back on 20th May.
    Good plan 👍

Ill try it but someone on the other thread mentioned its only available to customers who had less than £500 in the account on 8th March. I had more as I use the chase saver as a temporary holding account for bills and payments that are due to come out of the current account in the month.

Edit: no luck for me, looks like its account specific.
Ex Sg27 (long forgotten log in details)

Massive thank you to those on the long since defunct Matched Betting board.

oh ok I only had £4 in the savers, I use Chase current account for shopping and using its1% cashback and with Santander rates dropping on 20th May this seems good timing

gutted, i had more than £500 so doesnt look like i can get the deal. Shame i cant close the savers and then re-open

  • The offer on the home page of the app kept giving me the "no longer available" message and then disappeared, but I was able to open one after scrolling down and tapping on the rewards section where the offer was still listed on that page. Didn't need to close down any existing accounts either.

Worked for me, I wonder if it's essential to click through on the offers tab (which I did) rather than simply opening a new saver in the normal way.

I have also posted this in the Easy Access Discussion thread but thought it might be worthwhile here as well,

THis is in response to me querying the restricting of the account to those customers with less than £500 on the specific date they chose.

Other than removing my name, this  is verbatim:

I understand how this might seem unfair ( ...). The reason why it's an offer to limited and qualified customer only, is because we have a regular savings account for customers who would not be able to qualify and be eligible. No worries, we always consider our customers' satisfaction, and if this gets reviewed, hopefully the offer will be available for more customers like you.

I have asked for clarification of the second sentence. Maybe it makes sense to others but I'm struggling to see what the intended meaning might be.

I wasn't eligible or the offer had gone. I logged on within 10 seconds of receiving the notification.
Me too, but a few minutes later it was showing as an available option. Looked like there was a lag between the email going and the account being available 🤦‍♀️

I've currently got 3K in Metro Bank which is showing the rate on the app as 5.10% gross but this is dropping to 4.97% AER on 22/04 so is it worth switching to this account (I'm eligible) on 22/04?
