I submitted a complaint because i already waited 42 days up to this point on monday 20th may, dont know if this had a part to play
but im ringing up at 8
Sounds like they corrected it like they corrected mine
yep, called and explained, she said ive been sent a letter any payments pending for longer than 6 weeks will be reviewed and amended. she said something about CIS records, since im in construction. never had an issue in past, but i might have got my figures slightly wrong and missed something, im currently gathering all info before the letter arrives, will keep you updated.
but the amended amount will be paid in 5-7working days, 540. i can either reject the terms when the letter comes, or accept.
if i reject i need to provide more evidence.
Thats BS because I’ve been waiting longer than 5-7 working days since mine was amended
Have you noticed if HMRC have done a soft search on your credit file as that is normally an indicator that checks have been done before payment issue.
    No

    how would I know this
I use clear score. Part of their checks can be a credit check.

I have never known HMRC to do a credit check.

This doesn’t even arise when negotiating a payment plan with them.
  • after 6 weeks of waiting for additional security checks now I have to wait another 8 weeks...

It is definitely the worst year yet. Even Twitter and Facebook is being bombarded by people waiting. I won't even bother contacting them again as they don't seem to know what is even happening. These timelines are just a random guess.

Got my payment this morning. Submitted my return last Friday, so all quite quick in the end. My tax affairs are, however, relatively straightforward.

I bit the bullet and contacted via online chat. I was told my refund is sat with the specialist team and can expect a reply by 31st June. It will either get issued in that time or recieve a letter asking for more information.

I also contacted them today through the webchat. The agent sent a chaser and told me to get back in contact if I hadn't heard anything in 14 days. Seems everyone is still receiving mixed replies.

I'm seeing so many annoyed people this year waiting and getting mixed responses.
