I live & am tax resident in France. Until I finally retired last November I was returning to the UK for some work intermittently & taxed via PAYE. My UK income from employment is taxable in the UK. I have submitted a Self Assessment tax return using Taxcalc software on 24th April. I am owed just over £4,000.My HMRC account has been displaying 'Repayment pending' but I still haven't received the money in my bank account.I am usually due a rebate. Last year it was just over £2,000. Last year I received the refund within a couple of weeks. I have now been waiting over five weeks. What can I do to get this payment made? I have a £4,000 overdraft that I need to pay off.
