  • I've been waiting since 6 April for a repayment.  Got on the Web chat and was informed my pending security checks had magically been completed.
Payment status has changed to 'payment pending' :-
Hopefully not much longer to wait.
Did you contact via webchat today. What was your status before repayment pending.

First time contacting HMRC about this.
Prior to this the payment status as tub was simply 'funds available or something similar.
There was no visible record in my account that I'd requested the repayment.
Update: checking my online banking app, it says the payment is coming in tomorrow

    Spoke to hmrc

Said I'm owe them money after I amended my return, I know that I was claiming less than originally estimated and I'd either have to return the money or they would just deduct it.

I asked why the amended amount was repayment pending her reply was oh yeah that would be released to my account once passed security???!!

They have sent an internal eform to the department that deals with it what a shcit show
  • I got told the same yesterday, that they’ll either send the amended amount or they might send the full amount, but not to contact until 1st of august now

Are you saying that you, firstly, submitted an incorrect return i.e. based on estimates?

You subsequently received a repayment based on that incorrect return and are now complaining about the delay in setting off the correct repayment to your tax account?

I've been told that a letter is on route to me. Its will ask me to provide proof of ID and expenses receipts.
  • I have gave up chasing mine. They obviously don't have a clue what they are doing, so why should i deal with the stress. Luckily last month was my last CIS self employment.
