Surely you can view the last return submitted?

Looks like your years of frivilous expenses claims being accepted without question are over.

I can view it but there’s no amendments on it. And if that’s too me phoenix I haven’t claimed any expenses on mines!
  • I suspect any changes to 23/24 returns might be HMRC correcting obvious errors or omissions.

Yes - it’s just strange that one is not able to view the corrected return.

Did you include a charge for class 4 NIC on your return?

Mines went in this morning, never heard anything from them and it’s £1500 less than what my return said!
Are you CIS by any chance
  • My repayment had been removed and figures recalculated showing i now owed HMRC. I contacted HMRC to be told a letter was sent. The letter specified that my CIS deductions did not match what they had on file, with a copy of payments made to CIS. This specified that my contractor had only made a very small percentage of payments to CIS which was incorrect as i had proof of CIS statements and confirmation of payments from my contractors accountant. The letter asked if i agreed with the amendment or to send proof of CIS statements. I sent a covering letter with CIS statements of proof and now my tax account has now reversed to its previous calculation with repayment pending.
  • I have seen many people in this same situation. What is happening as this has been extremely stressful.
