Glad Round is ok.
Sorry about Jackson.
Mainly sun with some showers today but I got one load of washing done, dried outside and brought in.
Garden fence is finished and they did a pretty good job after all the setbacks - the last of which being this morning when they came to chainsaw a tree stump and couldn't get the saw started! Mr N and I have been reorganising the plants along the fence, I think it will display them all nicely.
Finished and emailed a report, started writing up yesterday's.
Sent off March's pay claim.
Did a bit of drumming, sadly haven't done much in the last week, must do better.
Did a load more seed sowing and watering in the greenhouse.
A few things vaguely tidied but not a lot. Continuing to declutter too much chocolate.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.5 -

Morning all.Valli said:how lovely that Jackson had a loved goodbye.

I woke up this morning in a lot of pain from an arthritis flare. I've had back ache for the past few days, but this is in my hands and shoulders - probably brought on by all the cleaning and cooking I did yesterday, and possibly exacerbated by the small glass of White Zinfandel which we enjoyed as a rare treat with our meal last night, courtesy of the friend who joined us. Thankfully it's calming down now, as the parrots take effect.
I had already planned a light day today, and we have plenty of leftovers to eat upI shall need to go shopping at some point, but will not buy any heavy stuff unless it's absolutely essential (I must get flour, in the hope of being fit enough to bake tomorrow). DH will be off to wargames club this evening, so I'm going to pay a quick visit to some friends in their new home, then will spend a couple of hours with K, rather than sitting here on my own. In between there is a bit more admin to do and some emails to send, but it's L the dog walker's day to take Rosie out, so I can also rest a bit. Gotta be fit for Sunday!
Will catch up later - hope everyone has a good Friday xxx

Afternoon, I've been missing for a few weeks as I just seemed to get swamped with work. I am returning to the group as I need to get everything back in some order, although it is probably not the best idea to start on a Friday I have so much to get done. It's going to be an exciting few days as hopefully getting a new puppy on Sunday.
Over the last couple of weeks, I have sorted out my car breakdown cover, house insurance and pet insurance for my cat, with a total saving of £82, a productive result.
My list for today
Get dressed
Do 2 loads of laundry
Write up some uni notes
Declutter 50 emails from my inbox
Look into better prices for work insurance
Look for fence posts to sort the garden fence as it was damaged in the last storm.
Look for the catches for the garden gate.
Spend some time sorting out the diary
Send a message regarding collecting puppy
Declutter the living room
Dust the living room
Hoover the living room
Put up the new bed for DS (arrived last night but wasn't expecting until next week, so nice surprise for DS)
Sort paperwork for solicitor and post back to office.
Think that is everything that I need to get done. Hope everyone has a lovely Friday.

Sorry about Jackson piggers. I know how horrible it is to lose a much-loved animal.I'm so relieved Round is ok - I was getting worried about her.@ionafan hope your pain has eased now.Not much by way of flying today. I went to bed very late so didn't get up all that early (actually, that's so unremarkable for me it's hardly worth commenting on lol). I took a card to post to our friend in Plymouth and got A's paper and brought it back. He wasn't feeling very well and his face had flared up again so he was doubtful about going to a friend's for tea this afternoon. I went to the 12.15 service and stopped off at a bakery on the way home for a loaf of bread. I made lunch and afterwards WUPA everything.A decided he was now feeling better and could go out so we went to our friend, who only lives at the end of the road, and I think he enjoyed it, as did I. We got back about half an hour ago and I've got an hour or so before I make supper. It will only be something simple and light though.5

Welcome back, MMM x
Thanks for asking, CoG. I managed to get the shopping done, and DH carried the 6 bags into the house (I'd only half-filled them this time!). I've rested this afternoon, and will not be going out this evening: K cancelled, so I've also cancelled calling in on the friends who've moved house - they will hopefully still be there in a fortnight's time. I shall type a couple of emails and try to get to bed early.
What on earth have you done to your kitchen sink, kaz?5 -
Hi all
Busy day, met contractor for work, went to DSs to receive his flat pack wardrobe, then home to do some more work. Then DH and I went for a walk and called at Li@l to get a few bits of shopping.
I have washed the fleece throw off our bed and got that dry outside. There is flying to do but I will catch up tomorrow.
I am supposed to be cycling with my ladies group tomorrow but it's supposed to be very windy so it might not happen. Either way I need an early night.7
