@pigpen yes, he is definitely one of those people who was stuck in the past, dwelling on shoulda-woulda-coulda. The final straw was when he was showing me photos of a house he renovated 10 years ago, then told me all about how he looks at those photos all the time as a reminder of how much better off financially he should be than he is…
I’ve been through a divorce, as have many of us, but he wore it as a badge of ‘look after me, I’ve been hard done to’… pull yourself up by your bootstraps pal, this is not attractive first date stuff!!
It’s raining and windy here. Wind always = bad internet here, so I gave up on Netflix.Just checking @Hone@Honey_Bear and @fayo@Fayolle are okay? Also where is @mumt@mumtoomany - all
my love to you all.
Sleep well team xx

By the way, what do you think of the plans for a new church building that I saw on the link you posted? Your medieval one looks so lovely but I realise that such old buildings are not always practical for some uses. How will it it be used once the new building is open?TDing finished and the towels PA. Easter cards and more Easter chocolate decluttered. Supper made and the washing up done. Just A's night time eye meds and putting out his breakfast things to do. I need to get to bed by 11.00 if possible as Sunday is always an early start for me as I like to to the 08.30 service.7 -
been to a warehouse place as DD wanted a new Rab jacket. She’s got an NHS blue light card now so she saved quite a bit. She’s so good with money, but she was born careful with money. Then w3 went to McArthur Glen…im not so good with money lol…
Ironed all the stuff that dried in the warm breeze today. she’s fancying another theatre trip …London meet anyone?

The plan for the new church has been a real white elephant/hot potato for many years. It began as a legacy/donation from someone who specifically stated that the money should be for a new church. One of the problems with the old church is that it is probably about a mile out of the village and there is no public transport - like many old churches, it is closer to the 'lord of the manor' house as that is usually how they were funded. Plus it is on a sharp series of bends which drivers often take way too fast, so it is is hazardous especially for the slower-moving or elderly to cross the road safely from the car park to the church. We've had the churchyard wall knocked down several times though thankfully no pedestrians. Since the original plans were drawn up, materials have become progressively more expensive and that is without going into the politics of how split the village is over where the new one will go - I've been to some village residents' meetings about it which have been both unpleasant and upsetting. It's been a nightmare and not over yet. The plan was for the old one to be used for 'high days and holidays' - weddings, funerals etc and probably Easter and Christmas. But who knows, the debate has been going on for years.
Decluttered some Chocolate Orange Easter Egg while watching Thirteen Lives.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Morning all
Just dropping in to say enjoy the meet today for those who are going. After a busy day yesterday DH and I are going out somewhere today but haven't made any firm plans. Much depends on how DH feels.
I am doing a charity bike ride in June and need to do some training but it's too windy to go out so I will do a session on the spinning bike, which is not my favourite activity. I also want to make some granola for breakfasts next week.
Have a good Sunday all x

Morning xx
I too am thinking about the flyladies meeting up today. Have a safe journey. And I hope all goes well.
After being sooo tired yesterday morning I was laid in bed wide awake at 11pm. And got up at 6.30 am because I wanted a brew. In between I woke myself up sat up in bed flapping away cobwebs. Dream cobwebs, not real ones! I have lost that drained of everything / totally exhausted feeling ....so I'm hoping that my battery is recharging.
I've made my bed, and completed Wordle and Connections while supping my first brew.
My priority today is self- care. But I'm aiming to get all the pots WUDUPA at some point. I finished my book yesterday, so I've retrieved the next book from the TBR pile(s). And my knitting has progressed - all stitches have been retrieved from stitch holders and I'm knitting the yoke. It's actually starting to look like a cardy.
Brew 2 is required. Join me?

Morning allPouring with rain and 50mph gusts here. Wettest 18 months since records began in the mid 19th century I read yesterday.I am bobbing up to a friend’s for a quick brew at 10.30, then it’s lambing stint, then collect the children. DD is having a friend for a two night sleepover, DS has a friend coming tomorrow also. I’m back to work tomorrow, it’s been a lovely break. Kids still off for another week, DS going to holiday club and DD quite happy amusing herself whilst I am on calls etc.
Need to remake DDs bed shortly and will make a nice breakfast. For now though I’m back in bed after bracing the weather to feed everyone and will enjoy some peace and quiet. Happy Sunday all xx6 -
Brew 2 supped and I'm dressed.
I've fed the birds, put out the recycling and sploshed bleach down the loo.
Very gusty wind here. One gust took my breath away when I walked into it to go and feed the birds.
If you are travelling today take extra care!
