YORKSHIRELASS said:Hi all
Yes, where is Round? Let us know that you are OK love.
Funny day at the paid stuff, just couldn't settle to anything and felt very unmotivated.
Have done some laundry, dusted a little and changed our bed.
Oh and I called at the doctors because I have a carrier bag of medication that DS doesn't need but they won't take controlled medication so I have to go back tomorrow and find out what to do with it. I am determined to get DSs room sorted.A while ago A had some controlled medication and there was some left over and I asked the chemist if they would take it back for safe disposal and they did. Perhaps you could try them.Maybe you felt like that because (presumably) you've had some time off over Easter and sometimes it takes a while to get back into the rhythm of things at work. Also, if there are a fair few people away it can seem quiet and different from usual. I"m sure you'll get you work mojo back soon.Made our supper and washed up and rang our 88 year old friend in Plymouth. He's got an optician going to his home tomorrow as he can't get out. He loves reading but his eyesight has deteriorated so I hope they can help. He has a magnifying glass and a strong reading light but needs something more I think.

Hello all. Hope you're all well.
This morning I walked Poppet, did a work shift, mopped living room, did dailies, put bins out and collected in again, cleaned some mirrors and glass and met for a quick cuppa with friends.Spend less now, work less later.5 -

Well done Pigpen, enjoy your prize.General house stuff done, kitchen, hallway, fire, logs in.Walked to see my cousin, glad I did, as it would have been her husband's birthday, the 1st since his death, she was ok, but not alright. So I am hatching plans to get her out more with me walking.Sort of rainy here.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

@Valli I hope you had a lovely day with your sis and parents.@Pigpen, well done on winning a prize. What happened with Jackson?Still no @roundtuit I really hope she's ok.This morning I went out to take some rubbish down and to get the paper. Late morning we set off for the hospital for A's ophthalmology check-up. Evidently his eyes are still showing signs of being too dry and he needs to continue with the medication, even if he finds it inconvenient. We didn't get back until nearly 4 and I made him a cup of tea and we both had a chocolate eclair and I decluttered a bit more of a chocolate bunny.4

Jackson crossed over rainbow bridge to MIL, a packet of ham and a bag of dreamies.. It was his time and he knew 2 days of love. OH is destroyed.. it is like another bit of his mother has gone..
.. We are getting his ashes back sometime next week and will scatter him with MIL too when we get around to that.
Thomas frisked the vet for treats when she opened a ziplock bag to get out a flea comb.. he was chipped so he is legal.. and I will deflea him tomorrow when the hole from the chip is healed a bit. He had a sniff of Jackson after he had passed so he knows he is gone.
I need to do dinner.. after a cuppa and chocolate.. it works for dementors so it'll work for the sads.. Pixie asked if OH needed a hug I said yes he does.. then she asked if I needed a hug. I said thank you but no I am British, I need tea.. so she made tea lol.. She is the most wonderful giving, thoughtful child.. She is after going into medicine so that attitude likely won't last (because it is good pay) but for now we will cherish it.
Meem has had surgery on her hand today so she is home and healing.
This week is really, really hard.
I need to feed the girls..
I am NOT accepting the prize!!! I am far too hideous for photos in the bare minimum.. I am an ankle to neck covered kind of person.. I think 'modest' swimwear is revealing!!

Thanks CofG. Work was better today and I spoke to someone who is going through something very difficult which puts things into perspective. I have a lot to be thankful for.
We collect our prescriptions from a dispensary at the surgery so I thought they would take the medication back. I cycled into work today so will take the bag in next week.
Tired tonight. I have to meet a contractor for work at 7.15am tomorrow so it will be an early start.
Two loads of washing out today and finished off in the drier. DH made stirfry for tea.
Pigpen that made me laugh, I wouldn't do it either!
