OH bought a cider making kit.. I bought wool for Beanie 2 green cardies.. and I bought a couple of new patterns.. 50p each it was rude to say no.. one was an aran cardy I have been looking for one I liked.
Went to Tesc0 .. an employee tried telling me I could not buy 3 loaves of reduced bread.. there were 10 left, the same, of a different brand.. he said 'you have to leave some' I said 'no I don't'.. no one else was even there to want them.. we did see a couple with a large trolley filled with every bag of onions and every bag of cheap potatoes off the shelf.. I got Squeak 3 bottles to replace her broken favourite one.. she has had it about 18 months and she dropped it and the neck cracked. So we have a happy Squeak. At the tills a chap had forgotten his clubcard and asked if we would scan ours so he could have his offers.. £12 he saved.. not to be sniffed at!! so we got his points.
 half a hallway cleared..

@Asparklierblonde enjoy your date but be careful unless it's someone you know well already, and take Kazwookie's offer up.@crazy_cat_lady what a transformation - it look great. We started to do our kitchen just before Covd hit. We got it half finished  (everything from the worktop down) and then decided to have a break for a few weeks to have a rest from the disruption and it was nearly Christmas, which also suited our builder. Unfortunately, Covid arrived before we had re-started and by the time we felt safe to start again A's health had deteriorated and he felt he couldn't cope with several weeks of major disruption so we have half a new kitchen and half an old one. I didn't get to bed until gone 2 am so wasn't up that early. Once I'd got myself sorted out I stripped the bed and put it all on to wash. I took a bag of recycling down then went to church and stopped off at Waitrose for some bread on the way. After church I came home, made lunch and washed up. A friend called over to collect some of the left over lamb and trifle as we can't eat it all. Put the bedding on to dry and when it had finished made up the bag for the laundry to collect later. Made tea and washed up.Still to do: Put clean bedding on, clean the hob as milk boiled over yesterday when I was making coffee for our guests and has burned on leaving a real mess. Very smart CCL.
I am having a bit of a wobble now that both boys and GF have returned home and my nest is empty. It's that bittersweet feeling of happiness because they are both confidently making their own way in life and sadness because I am not the most important thing in their lives any more.
So I threw myself into decluttering and hauled everything out of our cupboard under the stairs. Our village hall are doing a reuse and recycle day next weekend where you can take anything you don't want, so I have a pile of stuff to go. There is also some rubbish to go to the tip.
I have put all the clean laundry away and DH ran the cordless vac around. Kitchen is clean and tidy, I will pack my lunch later. Full day in the office tomorrow.7

            thanks for lists.
 ASB how exciting!
 Crazycatlady that is looking great.
Yesterday went well; it was a lovely Easter Sunday service and about three times more people than usual which is great. ClothofGold I don't know if you saw my reply to your comment at the end of the last thread - yes it is a very old church, Domesday book mentions a priest in 1086 https://hunsdonchurch.org/a-history-of-st-dunstans-church/
It was lovely and sunny for much of the day so Mr N and I spent a lot of time in the garden. Easter Eggs started!
Sat and watched the DVD of Jesus Christ Superstar in the evening; I love that music.
Today I did a big kitchen clear-up as I'd done a full roast last night in the range so there were lots of icky pans. All stuff washed, surfaces wiped, appliances wiped, floor swept.
Sun was with us again - not what we were expecting - so I did a load of washing and hung it out. We had a couple of showers late afternoon but the washing dried.
Lots more done in the garden.
Fell asleep twice in the conservatory.
Finished and emailed the report that has been hanging around; started another which I will finish and send tomorrow. I've got an assessment to do on Wed but none next week. Time is really racing on to the end of my contract.
 Checked bank statements.
Sent a couple of uni emails off in the hope of getting a speedy reply as one is about a student I really don't want to assess.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6

            Morning all
Card posted for friends birthday on the 7th. I have bought almost ALL birthday cards I will need this year and…printed out address labels for each and stuck them to the envelopes! I also bough second class stamps so should have enough for xmas, too, though i’m still using stamps which cost me well under £1 (swapped out though). They’re all in the correct pockets in my birthday file.
WM x 1. Didn’t run DW as not full.
Need to bag up CS stuff and stick it in the car for when I am passing.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson Janice 1964-2016 Janice 1964-2016
