Morning all.@Narc0lepsy I did see the link - thank you. I haven't had an opportunity to look at it properly yet but I shall do. I did notice that it is not far from Welwyn, where one of A's cousins lives. I wonder if she knows it - I will ask her.@Valli - I can only dream about being that organised and ahead of things!Today we have the vicar of the church I used to go to coming for lunch. As I've had a busy few days I'm making it easy for myself for once and I've bought a fish pie (Charlies Bigham's as they are pretty good) and I'm popping out to a local bakery to get a lemon and almond tart which we will have with some fresh berry fruits.I've had a quick tidy around and vac and put away the Waitrose delivery that caem half an hour ago. I am going out now to get the tart and the paper.6

And I have forgotten the wedding anniversariesThat's a relief!I took a bag of recycling down and went to the bakery and paper shop. I prepared (I can't say cooked really) lunch and afterwards WUPA everything. It was quite nice not having to make anything myself but I mustn't get into the habit. After our guest had gone I took the table cloth off and amazingly, after two lunches, no one had spilled anything on it so I didn't need to wash it and I just folded it up and put it away and put the everyday one back on.I then made A a cup of tea and renewed the car insurance online. It's 'only' gone up 30% but after reading some of the horror stories on here about renewals of 60 and 70% that didn't seem too bad. on this occasion I didn't bother to shop around because it takes ages and I can't imagine that I would save very much, if anything. I then rang a friend whom I was supposed to be seeing for lunch tomorrow but she isn't feeling well and has a GP appointment tomorrow so I'm just going to pop over to collect my Easter gift and we'll have lunch another day.A has decided he wants to start taking the eye meds again.

Oh, and we've seen the first moths of 2024. I've ordered a whole host of moth repellents and capture boxes.

Hi all
Not a bad day at the paid stuff, my eyes are still not right so have made another appointment at the opticians.
Not much flying done but the kitchen is clean and tidy and I have made a salad for lunch tomorrow and made my overnight oats.
DH went to DSs so that the oven cleaning man could get in. He took a box of DSs things that I had sorted out from here, and forgot to take it out of the car. I might be going there on Friday so it is not coming back in the house.
DS needs a blood test and MRI scan, I need to nag him.6 -
Thanks ASB, the meet is on Sunday. Piggers, please confirm if you're coming, thanks.
Just dailies and lots of laminating done here today.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Hi all. I'm still here. Not doing as much flying as I ought, but keeping the place as tidy as possible. WU, WM and ironing are all up to date, clean clothes have been FUPA, too-long hair has been decluttered, and I've done a fair bit of financial and other admin today (but still got plenty more emails to type and phonecalls to make by the end of this week). Rosie has had walks and I have actually read half a book as well as watching TV for relaxation. Oh, and I am decluttering Easter eggs as fast as I can!
I have provisionally booked somewhere to stay overnight in York after the Flymeet so that I can visit DSis-i-L on Monday morning, if she wants to see me.
Great kitchen, CCL2
C-o-G, I am delighted to say that I have joined the list of 'lovely' NHS patients, according to the copy I received of the letter sent to my GP after my last horse piddle appointment
And my hairdresser said today that my silvery grey hair is the 'in' colour atm! Apparently two of her customers had theirs dyed the same shade as mine on Saturday. Mine is 100% natural. I don't usually keep up with fashion, but I'll take the compliment, thank you
Off to play with Rosie before bed time... Sweet dreams to all xxx

If he says no, he is not right for you.Seriously, I hope that you can be relaxed and enjoy yourself. I'll be with you in spirit making sure you're ok.
