my hubby bought something from ebay so I'll still loose my NSD (we work from one account) but that's good to know. Hoping for one today 😁

"Essentials" includes basic grocery shop, utility bills, council tax, insurances, mobile phone contact, repairing or replacing worn out or broken essential items such as clothes, shoes, household white goods etc. I try to buy secondhand or Preloved items where appropriate.
"Necessary"- these are things that we could do without if we really HAD to, but life would be grim without them. This includes decent coffee and tea, annual bus tickets (works out less than half the price of paying individually for each journey), train tickets, taxis in an emergency, regular monthly direct debits into savings accounts for holidays and ISAs.
"Unnecessary" includes takeaways and "food on the go", magazines, cinema and theatre trips (unless planned for/ birthday etc), any unplanned-for purchases.
By being mindful about what we buy- and why- we've saved a small fortune and learned to appreciate what we have. Rather than endless crap and clutter, we're planning to go away on a fantastic holiday in Autumn.5 -

Today is a NSD for me. First in the bag3

I've been busy for the last few days nursing a poor man with (according to him!) the worst cold imaginable.
Didn't go out or spend anything, so today (Thursday) I'm up to 16 NSD.
Heading off for a grocery shop now. Cupboard, freezer and fridge audit completed, menus planned for the week and shopping list clutched tightly in my hand.
I don't have a lot to buy this week, only about £25.1
