It won't be a NSD for us today because it is my grocery shop. Although my spend is planned 😌 I have leftovers for lunch 😋 hoping for a NSD tomorrow 😆 can I ask, things like fuel which are budgeted for, do you count as a spending? X1

Hotdog2020.
Thank you for the comment about my cat. She seems happy enough. Wouldn't have known about the kidneys if it hadn't been for a check up . She is nearly 18 so if she's happy so am I. x
Checking in now for another NSD. Tesc@ shopping has been delivered but all basic stuff. Now I bwish I'd ordered some chocolate :-(

Two more NSDs for me, please. Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th. Surprised myself by completely ignoring the Oliver Bonas sale when I walked past last night en route to my train!

If I've budgeted the expense elsewhere - trains to work in 'transport' on my monthly budget spreadsheet then no. But fuel for say, a road trip or something, DH and I would class as a 'spend'laurenh1 said:It won't be a NSD for us today because it is my grocery shop. So tomorrow I'll spend about £13 on my return ticket to the office but it's an NSD as already budgeted under under my monthly 'transport' budget - whereas a day out train ticket I'd definitely class as a spend
Curious to see what other folks do!3 -
I have a petrol budget which is higher normally then what I pay, but it covers all my road petrol costs for all journeys - of course I don't go far, but if I were to my budget normally would cover this, it depends how far I go if it goes over it would leak into my weekly spending budget money which is £115 for petrol/groceries/spending/ healthcare/cleaning /a little to save if possible. I hope that makes sense.LemonadeBudget said:

It's whatever works best for your household / the way your brain works, I think. Makes total sense!HotDog2020 said:

Thank you! I do have some work and offers of work, for the time being I have added a night on to a trip to Wales this weekend! £70 for an extra night for 5 of us and a dog in a caravan! The role I am leaving has been in an environment that has been pretty toxic at times so lots of positives in going xKajiKita said:
Hoping the loss of that income stream makes space for another one to come in 🤞MrsCautious said:Morning all, today should be an NSD after 2 days when I’ve spent money (birthday card and present for my mum and erm a Steak Bake yesterday!)
I lost my biggest source of income this week (can’t really call it my job) so have been a bit discombobulated 😕 I’ll be fine and am glad to have trained myself in this NSD malarkey.

@laurenh1 if it's a planned grocery shop that doesn't need to count so you can still call it an NSD today if you like! Fuel/public transport don't have to count either xxlaurenh1 said:It won't be a NSD for us today because it is my grocery shop.
