Sorry not to have posted for a few days. Things got a bit difficult again but I've been feeling much better yesterday and today. Unfortunately Himself had a bit of a "turn" this morning. He stretched up to get a bowl which was on top of a unit and suddenly started shaking all over and didn't seem to know where he was. It was a bit frightening but luckily my neighbour was there and sorted him out. I'm wondering if stress is causing all of this.
Going on holiday on Saturday, Hope the rest will sort us out. xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.10 -

@beanielou best of luck to your sonChilly but sunny today. Dog walk first thing, then we went to a boot sale. Didn't buy much.Gardening this afternoon. We earthed up the potatoes which have just appeared above the surface, then sowed seeds - carrots, beetroot, radishes, spring onions and chard. Also sowed some courgette and cucumber seeds in pots in the conservatory. and watered all the seedlings.Tried out our new air fryer to cook dinner, which was reasonably successful once I had removed the invisible sticker from the control panel
We had marinated chicken legs, crispy new potatoes and chard with onion and garlic. All perfectly edible and nice, but a couple of things I will do differently next time.
I have completely lost track of NSDs as usualbut I haven't overspent.
Grateful today that it hasn't rained!13 -
I've been absent recently due to Step-mum being released into the wild - i.e. home - and not behaving herself and DD 2 being diagnosed with Secondary Addison's disease, which has been a huge blow to us.
I've really missed the good sense, humour and kindness the Turtles provide and I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone's news over the next few days xx12 -

Good luck to your DS @beanielou
Today has gone off plan. I bought a laptop a few months back thinking it would be good for my upcoming uni work starting in September. Over the weekend I've tried to install Office and a few other bits and it's not compatible.... without naming brands I had no idea it wasn't compatible (it's not the fruity brand). I did lots of googling (there's a hint) and there are some ways around it but for the level of work I'm doing it's not going to be easy and I don't want to jeopardise any deadlines etc. Its too late to return the laptop so I've had to bite the bullet and order another one that IS compatible. The one I have is really small so I can take it to and from work etc so it's not totally useless but I'm frustrated, mainly with myself for not knowing it wouldn't be compatible (even though I've not bought a laptop for about 10 years). To make matters worse I accidentally ordered two laptops instead of one. Tried to cancel but it was too late as they've shipped both already. Can't complain about customer service I guess! Luckily I got them both on BNPL for 9 months so I'm not missing any money but need to arrange a return of one of them ASAP. *sigh*
I'm also feeling really, really tired at the moment. My back is playing up hugely and it's affecting my sleep. Even though I'm exercising and keeping active it's not helping. I have a pain clinic appointment in a few weeks but am pretty reliant on painkillers atm, which comes with its own wonderful side effects. I bought a coffee this morning as felt hideous, lost my NSD with the laptop debacle anyway. I think feeling poorly makes me want to spend as it gives me that temporary hit and makes me feel a little "better". Must do better!10 -
Everything crossed here for him @beanielou. Sending hugs @Flying_By

@icc86. Not to downplay your coming pain clinic appointment but for me it was more accepting that there was no easy answers. It is sometimes difficult to take on board that that we actually need to change our mindset to help us to deal with our pain. I hope this makes sense.Hope it goes well for you.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy11 -
