Hope you're OK Beanie... (((hugs))) X
I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why it is called the present.
happiness isn't achieved by getting extra things,
but by getting rid of the things that make you unhappy8 -
Oh no @beanielou, I hope you're ok! Rest easy tonight x
Thanks for your comments about DS's hand. I'd not seen it before we left the house, but DH had, so I wasn't visualising it on the drive into town. We were both quite calm & he did keep it raised above his heart, as id remembered from my 1st aid training. Afraid the only instrument he's good at playing @f0xh0les is the bum flute! 🤣
Didn't do yoga this morning, as got up a bit later, but Norwegian was practiced. Very heavy rain most of the day, so excitable children due to not getting outside at breaktime! Had a tricky situation at dinnertime, but after 3 if us having a go, I went back for another try & succeeded! The headteacher complimented me afterwards.
Spent the evening wrestling with my sewing machine, so a quick job took twice the length of time! Must remember to put a new needle in, if it happens again...
Grateful for snatching quick chats with the teacher who works at the end of the week, succeeding at lunchtime, getting the sewing job finishedUse it up, wear it out

Ah @beanielou I hope you are not too uncomfortable now physically, and not too uncomfortable with the group to go back. These things seem so much worse when they happen to us, than to the bystanders, they are often just very keen to help. Sending hugs. Falling as an adult is really daunting, I'm constantly gobsmacked that kids cope so well with it!. They seem not to expect to be upright all the time!
@Thrifty_Taylor Thank you! I wouldn't have known I had a message I don't think, am not yet au fait with the app! Very helpful suggestions. I hope DS heals up quickly, sounds awkward and tricky to manage day to day stuff. What will he do with himself if not working not whittling on the beach? Well done on getting him to hospital hand aloft!
A productive day here today. I got one of the annoying jobs done and have done calendar entries for others so I feel like they are at least out of my head.
I dealt with some tricky stuff at work but managed a lunch break of 30 min sitting in the garden with my aunt when she popped up to say she would be away for a few days so not able to be on standby for my dad or my cousin's mum. We had home made banana cake from the freezer (lovely) and found a spot in the very top of the lawn that was out of the wind, it gave us a lovely view and initially I wondered why mum and dad never put seats up there....until we started sinking as the ground is clearly quite soft! I felt like a right heffalump.trying to get my chair legs out of the ground, they had sunk several centre metres. Anyway, lawn up there is aerated now!!
I finished just before 5 and got onto a gym class last minute. I have worked far too much this week and needed to do something out of the house. Did 2 classes actually and then got pizza from a open fire van near the flat, snuck in and enjoyed dinner in my own place, and a bath as I had had the hot water on accidentally last night and it was still hot enough to bathe! Feeling cleaner, and better for the movement and company at the gym. Half the pizza is in the freezer for another day.
I was wondering if I needed to come back to dad's or if he would be ok overnight ...but came back as it was easier than changing the plan. Good job I did as his tv had 'broken' - source was incorrect- and he was tired from doing jobs in the garden all day, so was getting quite confused and het up. Fixed the TV and he said I was wonderful. High praise indeed. Not sure it's the most wonderful thing I've done in my life but it clearly meant a lot to him as he doesn't talk like that usually! I sat with him and watched one of his programmes and renewed my driving licence which has just expired.
Have done a few more things towards getting flat ready to rent out. I have a friend coming down in a few days who will have lots of ideas and be helpful about setting it up, so have moved all the linked tasks to those days..I will get there soon!
Well done on job @f0xh0les and well done on new pyjamas @lcc - it's a lovely luxury a nice pair of PJs. Enjoy!11 -

@Starlight_at_Sea. You hit the nail exactly on the head. I am pondering whether to go back. I got quite upset and it was all a bit much. @beanielou don't let it put you off, I'm sure it will all be forgotten by the next session.
@Starlight_at_Sea OH and I had pizza from a van last night too, now you've got me wondering if you live near us! (I made OH pay so I saved my NSD).
Today has been my slightly delayed non-working day. Got up and did a small top up shop in town, then went to my local-ish aquatic shop to get a few little frogs (I keep aquatic frogs and fish).
Cleaned a few spots of the carpet that didn't quite come up clean last weekend when I did it. Then walked to the gym for a workout.
Not much else to report MSE wise. I chased up a parts order for my car, turns out its on back order. Wish they'd told me that before I'd given them £700... Will wait and see if they come back with a date, if not I'll be cancelling. Its not urgent at all and I'd rather have my money in my account!8
