Weight loss and healthy eating for a debt free life

I've had two good days of eating, so hopefully that will continue, and I might see some results!
According to my active 10 app, I've done 176 minutes of brisk walking this week so far, that's very good for me.
I'm listening to Ravenous at the moment, it's quite an interesting read!"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney3 -
Well done everyone who has put their face round the door. It takes some of us so much effort to lose even a small amount but we are worth it.
I lost 0.5 lbs this week. It would have been more if I hadn't had lunch with my dad's cousin on Thursday but it is what it is. I won't tell you what it ate as one of my pet hates in slimming clubs were the people who reeled off a whole list of unhealthy things that they'd eaten which just made everyone else want whatever they'd had too. It wasn't even that nice but never mind.
What I have noticed is that there is hardly any rubbish in our bin. We have a recycling bin for glass, cardboard etc and that is much the same as usual (cat food boxes etc) but the general rubbish one really doesn't have much in it at all. I need to make an effort and fill the garden rubbish one tomorrow. That might help the weight loss along 😁
Half a pound may not sound much but until the food companies cheated and made everything smaller it used to be ths same as a block of butter. You may not think that half a pound makes much difference and maybe it won't look any different when you're in front of the mirror in your undies but half a pound of fat removed from around your internal organs is a good thing.
Take care all of you 😊

Well done Cranky
Sorry about the gain Beanie.
I weighed this morning. It's a maintain for me. I've been exactly the same weight (bar hormonal fluctuations) which is good on one part but frustrating otherwise."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney3 -
Beanie, my HT has been trying to eat sensibly because we're going on holiday. The first week he gained 2 lbs and he doesn't even eat sweets. The family genes run strong in that one! It just shows how difficult it can be.
I had my DNA done and most of my ancestry comes from Scotland and Northern Ireland. My sister says we're descended from good peasant stock and we would have been highly valued for our ability to maintain our weight with very little food 🤣🤣🤣4 -

Good to see everyone’s posts.Another thing I promised myself this time was that I would post regardless of outcome. Well done @beanielou for doing that (apologies if that sounds patronising- it isn’t meant to). My typical behaviour at SW was to not go if I thought I had gained and to kid myself I would go the week after. I don’t want to ruin the punchline or anything but guess what, I didn’t go!!!! And that was usually week 4 of a 12 week countdown that I then wasted (many many times over the years). So I genuinely appreciate when people post their gains as it reminds me it’s a long haul and it will fluctuate and it doesn’t mean the whole thing is a failure rather it’s persistence and consistency that count.I havnt had a great weekend (well, I have had a great weekend but not on the food choice front). But what I have done is come up with a workable plan for the next 5 days to adapt my calories, still allowing for good meals which will enable me to just move on without the (old) mentality of feeling like the whole week is ruinied so I may as well eat the equivalent of my body weight in food (a lot). My week is Saturday to Friday and I weigh Saturday morning. If you’ve got this far - well done 😁.Have a good week everyone.L x6

@Less_Talk_and_More_Action, I see your persistence after developing self knowledge and salute you 😊👏
Can you share more about what the workable plan is that allows you to adapt your calories and still allowing for good meals?KKAs at 15.07.25:
