Thanks @Asparklierblonde and @Valli I could get used to it!ASB, yes it would be lovely to meet when you come up. Maybe we could get tempt one or two others for flymeet too [puts some of @pigpen 's biscuits down
] Hope you're meeting goes well tomorrow - I'm sure it will. Just remember to practice your curtsying skills.
Valli, I hope you've continued to feel well today.Well, I completed everything on my list plus the laundry came back and I put that away; I washed up the tea things; made supper and washed up again. Quite a productive day and making the list helped actually because I was determined to do everything on it.As A has abandoned his eye meds all I have to do now is put his breakfast things out and clean my teeth. I might read a bit more of the book I started earlier and then go to bed. Sleep well lovely friends.8 -
I've failed as a human today.
2 loads of washing done.. unblocked the vacuum and vac'd the kitchen.. ready for the ceiling coming down.OH has an interview in the morning.. at 9..I need a cuppa.. and my bed.. I loaded the DW twice and moved everything off the worksurface in the ceiling target zone.
I might have to torture myself and get a loan to get the bathroom sorted.. it is not going to be cheap.. and if I am doing that I may as well add on an additional 5k for the new front and back doors and the bay and the french doors too.. and cry because I hate loans.
Cocoa and gluten free digestives for the WAC (and the not-gone-to-bed-yet-club .. that's probably just me though)
We are having to hire a van next week to empty MIL's house (Stockport area) .. if anyone is willing to help it would be much appreciated.. we need some manly arms.. I have arms like chicken legs.. can barely lift a pint!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8 -
Piggers I could help next Wednesday-Friday if that is any good? PM me if so xx
Can someone explain how to upload a photo? I was going to bore you all with a view of the mist of the moors this morning, but don't know how to (don't all rush at once....lol) xx9 -
Morning my lovelies xx
asb - it involves the square with two triangles and a dot in it. But I'll let someone else explain the how to, as I pressed the wrong button and I'm not allowed to upload photos to Flylady any more. I've searched and searched for the button to correct my error to no avail.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast, completed Wordle and Connections, and I'm supping my brew. I'm wearing earrings with a dusky pink stone to match my top. Looking to CoG for a Liberty scarf in black with dusky pink 💗 or 🦩. Primarni would be acceptable too 😉
My knitting is growing. It's a matinee jacket where you knit it all at once as opposed to a back and two sides. I'm anticipating problems when I reach the bit where the sleeves will go. But, having successfully completed the fancy bit round the bottom I am now on stocking stich until I reach that stage. 😊
Three day week at the paid stuff. I could get used to this. Apparently it was all kicking off again yesterday- the cockwombles moved K into the big office on Friday ( K's non working day) and she didn't turn up for work yesterday! She said she wouldn't if they did that! She obviously meant it. That office is toxic. I refuse to work in there, L refuses to work in there, and now K is protesting. Hope she's OK. She can move in with me when L leaves next week. 😊.
K's 60th birthday tomorrow. I've arranged the card and collection. L is going to buy the gifts after work tonight. Today I need to send an email out for L's leaving collection. People will soon stop reading my emails 🤣
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I head into the war zone. 🙄
Have a good day
Rxx

Been out in my nighty to peg out the washing (which is way more clothing than the young man who has moved in across the road seems to think is necessary for popping out to the bins, or, apparently, wearing indoors. I’m tempted to suggest he gets blinds). Now I am having my vertical half hour.

@piggers spoons coming your way. I would help with the move if I could but I can only be away for more than 2/3 hours unless I can get someone to come and look after A and I only have one person I can ask/he will tolerate. They live 40 miles away so I have to use their services sparingly.@roundtuit so industrious, so early as usual. You really put me to shame (a do many of you) but I'm soooooo not a morning person. Hope work today goes ok. Why are they such drama queens? I would find that difficult too.@Valli how are you today?@Asparklierblonde sending good vibes for your meeting today.I"m a bit worried about A. He is complaining about being very achy (more than usual) and his face, which had gone back to normal, is quite red again. I felt it and I thought it seemed a bit warm. Our thermometer isn't very good so I'm going to go out shortly and get a new one and see if he has a temperature. If so, I think I will try and persuade him to ring the GP.Anyway, having done quite a lot yesterday I don't have such a long list today.Look for a dusky pink scarf for RoundtuitWUPA A's breakfast thingsBuy a thermometer.Get a few bits, e.g. breadClear another shelf on the bookcaseWrite and post Easter cardsTidy the dining table, which is a mess againWash and sanitise my hairbrushRing a friend who has been illTake bag of recycling downI dare say other things will come to mind later but that's it for now. I"ll report back later - have a good day everyone.[This took half an hour to post as my internet went down. Fortunately I could see it wasn't posting and so quickly copied it before it crashed and then pasted when it came back!]
