Once you deposited the £1,500 within 60 days of your switch starting that's all you needed to do (as well as setting up your 2 direct debits).

Yes. I opened an Edge account before the switching offer was available. Then opened an Everyday account to get the offer. Santander were quite happy about that, and paid me the bonus a short while ago. I've now closed the Everyday account.

Can you have a Everyday & Edge account?

You can change your account type to Edge and contact Santander by phone or in the branch to start a new switch for the current £175 offer.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I need to set up 2 direct debits to qualify. Any ideas of where I could do this, eg a savings account somewhere which would debit from my Santander Edge account.

This thread is for the previous switch offer which has ended. Probably best to ask in the current switch offer thread.

Also check out this thread for a selection of easy and cheap direct debits you can use.

UPDATE: Switch completed on 10th April and £185 credited today. I was getting worried and yesterday I pinged £1500 in and out of the account, no idea if that triggered the payout as I had already done this on the switch complete day, hope this may help someone.

Sounds like your switch started (it's the start date that matters with this offer) around 2nd April so you should have been assessed earlier this week. You should be receiving your bonus sometime this month, assuming you've fulfilled all the terms of the offer.
