If you apply for an account via the cashback site they give you money for doing it - you can also separately take advantage of a switch bonus

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I opened the new account and initiated the switch (selecting earliest date possible) on 30th March. Based on others' experience I was expecting the bonus by today, but nada. Will chase it up once the 60 days has properly passed. Fulfilled all of the criteria, the only obstacle that I could think of is that I recently opened an Edge current account as well, and technically they could withhold the bonus for 'gaming' it (though unlikely I'd have thought).

Just received Quidco cash back after waiting 10 weeks.  Now switching to TSB via Top cash back.  Quidco good but a bit slow😊

Switch completed on the 9th April ans £185 received on 17th May.  No notification like with some others, money just appears in the account
That is quick If my memory serves well it said three months after the switching was completed (?)
My switching was completed on April 20, two DDs is already on and I have deposited £1500.
so based on this case I should expect to get it around early June ?

According to the terms, the account is checked 60 days after instructing Santander to start your switch. The bonus is paid within 30 days of that date. In reality many accounts have been checked before the 60 days, in breach of the terms, but as you've satisfied the conditions already won't be a problem for you. They're also paying the bonus very quickly after checking.

Your switch probably started around 11th April so you should be assessed around 10th June, possibly a few days earlier if they're still checking them before the 60 days.
