Aw I'm pleased you and Rick are Ok I've been so worried
I can understand why Rick is feeling depressed he has been through so much and i bet in his mind he can do things but his body cannot do it yet But i think Rick is like you he is not down for long , He just has to look at when he was ill in hospital the nurses said Rick will be in hospital for weeks and look at Rick now Rick sweetheart you are doing very well you should be very proud of yourself i know i am .
Remember i'm always here
Take care0 -
Hi Fsdss,
I remember reading some of your posts just after christmas and just caught up reading on most of what you have put..
I'm glad to hear rick is on the mend..
I had a serious stomach illness in 2005 when i wasn't much older than rick and i lost 3 stone, because i only weighed 10stone anyway i looked very thin and had no energy...
But then i had a stomach operation and after that began putting on weight and i could just feel myself getting stronger and stronger and feeling very happy after getting on the scales seeing my weight rise of which in due course will happen to rick..
It is hard putting on the weight with the not very nice tasting supplement drinks and the advice of the dieticians but i got there in the end and so will rick..
And now 3 years on i feel like i never had the problem in the first place, i feel no different with half a stomach as i did with a full one..
I wish rick all the best..
Take care..0 -
great to hear rick is doing well, make sure you take care of yourself to. i had major surgery 18 months ago and could not eat properly for 9 monthsbefore ( i ended up a size 8 before) my family were glad when i started puting on wieght it took a few months!! its a good sign!!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

he's doing fine
Rick's skins is very dry and itchy so i have took some emolients home from work (got permission before anyone asks). he's on a bit of a high as the gp gave him some forms for incapacity benefits and he's been interviewed. they are back dating it to christmas so he thinks he's going to be rich!!!Give blood - its free0 -
Thanks for the update, been wondering how things are too.0

fsdss... How are things is rick well I certainly hope so. Love and good wishes to you all take care!0

he's here and fine.... although a bit depressed. Doc signed him off work for a year and he got turned down for incapacity benefit due to the fact that he hasn't paid enough stamp, which made him even more depressed. he's now looking to find any sort of job but unfortunately this will prove fruitless as he hasn't the physical ability to maintain such employment at the moment through illness. he lost a bit of weight, but its going up again now slowly. his trachy hole has healed though he is more conscious about his bald patches on his head than his scars, so tends to hide them with big silly woollen hats.Give blood - its free0
