Glad to hear things are coming along, and well done for the blood giving :T .
Had you explained to your kids what to expect? How old are they? I'm sure they will soon get used to the new Rick, it must have been a bit of a shock at first.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

yes had explained to the children all along what was happening - they only really took notice when i said that he had a hole in his throat to help him to breath a couple of weeks ago - and that lots of people had given rick blood to help him - we haven't really held back from discussing this with the children- as they needed to release some worries too, although they dont quite know the extent of worry,. the children are 3 and 6.
they were told to be gentle with Rick when they saw him and that for the time being they are not allowed to jump on him like they usually do - and to leave him asleep in the morning and not to play trampolines on his bed, no shouting etc. they have a reward chart where they can earn points and tbh are enjoying this.Give blood - its free0 -
well done on the giving blood. i hope that your kids get used to having Rick around soon - not to used to having him around (jumping etc). he must surely be improving if he is up to visiting gra in old folks home. all the best for you and yours - look after yourself and Rick - glad to know he is home.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. hi MOT haven't caught up with your thread for a couple of days, hope everything's going well.
Rick's doing fine although a little depressed, he went to the docs yesterday and the doc told him that he would be signed off for a year on the sick. he can just about walk to the end of the room (about 8 steps for us) and is feeling low as he has to be supervised at bath time etc which is highly embarrassing for him despite wearing swimming trunks.
yesterday was my birthday - and spent the afternoon with Rick, becca and her boyfriend . Rick had the munchies (although he cant contemplate eating anything rich and must be bland), so i popped off to aldi and bought a lobster and king prawn ring (which is what his mouth was drooling about.) for a treat and rick devoured half the ring in no time. and lobster for breakfast this morning- he has put on a stone in weight which is great.
he is going to revise for his driving theory with his sister (Rick is dyslexic and was fearful of doing the test) however with sister doing it with him he should be ok. he's coming away with us later on next month, for a weekend at legoland etc. and in the summer he's coming on holiday with a friend - so at least he has something to look forward to.Give blood - its free0 -
Its great having something to look forward to, ill keep my fingers crossed that his theory goes well when he takes it.
