Oh Cheery, I certainly hope MrCheery's tooth is improving today and/or he gets a dental appt asap.
And YAY! to your adventurising! 😁 I've often thought about doing it..... one of these days I'm gonna do it too! 🤣 If I ever get good at sock knitting/knitting with 4 ply, I'm off! I'm thinking a convent or a island bothy may do it for me 😁👍
Finger crossed it all goes well today 🫰

Thanks both xx
He's still in pain, and has barely slept again 🙄 Just rang our dental practice - there's no dentist in today (what, none at all??). Receptionist is going to ring their sister practice, but in the meantime has given me the 'first call' number (the 'emergency' line - i think it's to coordinate shared available appointments across the area). They're going to ring back - the other day they said to allow at least a couple of hours, but it actually only took about 20 mins.
So now we wait 🙄
Definitely considering going private for Mr Cheery. He has a lot of trouble with his teeth and because appointments take so long, we quite often end up with emergency appointments to deal with things he has an appointment booked for in a couple of months (but which can't actually wait a couple of months). Obviously cost is putting us off, but in his case it might be worth it for sanity if it's possible to get things dealt with promptly rather than dragging them out and causing more problems longer term 😕
As ever, grateful to have a dentist at all, can't imagine what it's like for people who don't 😕5 -
Anyway, around waiting for dentists today, I do have a list
* keep an eye on the washing - I left it out overnight but it's a bit damp this morning. Very blustery though so hopefully it'll dry before the rain starts later
* scything - although not til we've heard from the dentist
* pack!
* regular saver (not sure why I'm putting it off!)
* check bank switch - might be one for when I have more head space 🙄
* possibly get those tiles relaid - although only really if Mr Cheery is up and about, it's too noisy to be doing in the room under the bed.
That's probably ambitious enough given that hopefully we'll have a 2 hour round trip to the dentist as well 🙄4 -
Good 👍 luck 👍 💪 👌 with the dentist.3

Thanks lookbook 😊
Right, we have an appointment at 12.30, so I think an hour of scything before we leave, a still likely be raining later. I really hope they can sort him out properly this time.4 -

Thanks beanie.
Plumber confirmed (for Thursday - I'm not here, so I hope Mr Cheery is feeling better by then)
Another row of scything done - that's ten nowIt's been good starting in the middle this year - the rows on this side of the field are shorter as the field isn't quite square, so I feel like I'm making more progress
I've not raked any of them up yet though - that's often a job I try to rope visitors in to help with (because it's easier for people to use a rake/pitchfork than the scythe) but we've not had any who are fit/able/willing this year so far. Going to get as far as the wall, and then decide whether to rake what I've done, or just start scything at the other end. It's much harder to cut as the weather gets worse, so cutting first might be the way forwards... Might post a picture later.

Well as expected they think it was a dry socket - I've had that before and it was very painful, but they've packed it with a dressing and from my memory that eased it quickly so hopefully the same for him too.
I'm now having rotten period pain so it seems we're passing pain between us at the minute! 🙄 I'm dosed up but a nice hot bath will help - although we're still an hour away from the bath. At least I randomly brought a hot water bottle with me - I thought it would help him but now it's helping me instead 😂 What a pair we are!10
