Anyway, here's a picture of the field at the start of row 10 😊
You can see how bendy my rows are 😂😂9 -
Loving that picture.
I'm hoping the dentist was postive.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -

If you were closer I would! You're more than welcome here to have a go though 😁
Home now. Mr C is contemplating doing some pottering, so things must be settling down a little, thank goodness. And I have a nice bath running 😁
I dragged him into a charity shop near the dentist briefly to distract him and managed to find myself a lovely Hobbs dress (with pockets!) for £8 😊 It's black with big white and yellow flowers. They didn't have a changing room though so hoping it fits (i can take it back if not).
Trying to look slightly more professional at work than I usually do in jeans 😂 Altbough everyone will probably just assume I'm off to an interview 😂8 -
That's what people used to think when I wore a dress @Cheery_Daff as I almost always wore trousers! Still wear trousers most of the time now I'm retired too!3

The scything is looking great Cheery - I think the curves are an aesthetic bonus!

I am all packed and ready for my holidays 😊😊 I am also delighted to report that Mr Cheery is feeling somewhat improved, so we are going to head out for breakfast in the morning, and I'll head straight off from the cafe which will give me plenty of time to potter in a nearby town before I can get into my accommodation 😊😊
I've finally got round to opening a new regular saver. I've got three at the minute:
* £300 a month @ 7%, ends Jan 2025
* £50 a month @ 5.5%, ends Jan 2025
* £250 a month @ 8%, ends Sept 2024
The new one is £250 a month at 7% (variable, but they've confirmed that will hold after their rate change in October, and will give 2 months notice of any other changes). I'm going to get Mr Cheery a separate one so we can put £500 a month in.
Once the September one pays out (23rd) I'll put all of that in the standard savings account and drip feed if necessary to get us through to January.
New mortgage total starts on 1st November - I think it's £1053, an increase of £133 a month 😬 Pay increment not yet confirmed, but it won't be that much, so we'll have to adjust the amount going towards savings. Might do a whole budget rejig ready for the new mortgage and see where we are.
I got another row of scything done this evening in between showers (of rain, not me unnecessarily washing myself 😂). Accepted the tiles won't get done before I go, so I've cleared the tiling kit out of the way.
Got a cool bag ready for the meals I made, plus some of our giant stash of apples (Mr Cheery usually eats a lot, but obviously hasn't felt up to crunching). Will grab a couple of cool packs from the freezer in the morning.
Mr C is feeling well enough to have a bath, so I'm going to get the IPL machine back out (I stopped mid-leg and mid-film yesterday 😂).
Feels VERY odd to be going away not for work on my own, and even more odd to be going in the car - I'm pretty sure the last time I did this I hadn't even started having driving lessons 😂😂8
