I think a training programme may be a better long-term use of resources, then after a while you wouldn't need to send Mr KK out at all!3

Oh, and I am delighted to report that after a little searching we did indeed find the hotplate coins, and I was awarded the final three - I donated one to Mr C 😂6
-
Phew - I'm glad MrRatty didn't get to them!
...and as for supporting the apprenticeship programme - as long as s/he was a dab shot and got the buggers (and took them away) I'd be happy to support!
4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)Original Date - Sept 2041 New projection - Jan 2040 (redcuced by 20 months)5 -
But, I get to charge a premium for Mr KK, as he comes with a side helping of dry wit … 🤔😉❤️Cheery_Daff said:I think a training programme may be a better long-term use of resources, then after a while you wouldn't need to send Mr KK out at all!

I'm seeing a national if not international business here, apprentices, clones, premium rates for specific personal, training schemes.... admin staff will be needed, I think you are already beyond your spreadsheetKajiKita said:Okay fair enough, I think Mr KK would draw the line at using an air rifle inside the house! 😉😊
The drama of the missing white chocolate buttons!! 😳😂😉 We need updates!! Or a restocking … 😉
@rtandon27 < logs further interest in Mr KK’s services … considers hassle factor and costs of hiring an apprentice as Mr KK is getting spread a bit thin and customer delays are looking possible … > 😉
KK
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!4 -
Can I borrow your PA ….?? 🤔😉😂😊Watty1 said:

Thank you all for popping by and entertaining me with your chit chat 😊
We have been out. Slimming world first - put 2.5lbs on 😱 not really surprising given the sulking I've done this week, but still annoying - it had taken me 3 weeks to lose 4lbs. So easy in one direction, so difficult in the other! 😂
Cafe with Mr C, where he did some puzzles in the paper and I did some plotting and scheming. Healthy lunch, bit more disinfecting, and now he's gone for a nap before tonight's gig, and I am having a quiet half hour on the sofa with a hot chocolate, hot water bottle, and country living magazine. Although I'm now about to swap that for Call the Midwife and some crochet, most jolly.
Got the evening to myself so will need an elaborate plan, but right now I'm going to have an hour of peace 😊😊6 -
Right. Mr C dispatched into the night for a few hours. Another round of crochet blanket border done.
Budget updated too. These are amounts remaining as of 8th Nov.
Food & household: £171.22/£350
Joint treats: £134.70/£200
My spends: £86.65/£150
Mr C spends: £93.10/£150
Hmm, could be doing better, not even a third of the way through the month 😬
Household spends have taken a bit if a battering today with a new kitchen bin (an indulgent yellow one at £25), some vacuum storage bags and a new hot water bottle after our spare one burst a few weeks ago. Also bought (unnecessary, as it turned out) lightbulbs, and did a big top up shop the other day so all OK.
I haven't given a figure for the diesel budget. We've topped up twice already this month, but today's has still got the holding amount of £99 and I can't remember exactly what we spent.
My budget is looking a bit dire. I've paid this term's band subs, sponsored someone, and bought a couple of books. Mr C has plenty left - I've just deducted the £50 he took in cash all in one go and he's slowly spending it.
Anyway, always better to know where you stand.
Put two spare meals in the freezer the other day, and I'm about to make a lasagne which will hopefully yield another 2 or 3.
Right, best get back in the kitchen or else the lasagne won't be ready til bed time!7 -
Lasagne done and very tasty. I ate one portion, left one for Mr C in case he's peckish when he gets in. Two in the freezer 😊
Floor hoovered, and everything properly removed from countertops and cleaned and disinfected. Yawn. Rustling behind the walls but nothing caught in the traps yet (knowing my luck a stupid mouse will set one of them off within earshot of a mouse and we'll never catch the damn rat)
Flute played for well over an hour, and now I am fit for nowt else except perhaps a bit of crochet but mostly just dozing on the sofa til Mr C is back.
No plans tomorrow. More flute, more tidying. More cooking.11
