Apparently not - we're now at the end of Wednesday which most definitely does NOT count as 'early in the week' any more 🙄bubblycrazy said:
Is it a sign!?!Cheery_Daff said:Still no news, although I was just in a meeting with the person who currently does the job (just because we are both involved in a particular piece of work). Quite weird!! 😂
Still, I have had a productive and sociable work day, and a lovely evening with my friend and we are both home safely.
Working at home tomorrow - I think I'll be alright now the immediate stress of waiting has worn off. Mr C is out in the afternoon but will be around in the morning.
Can't remember what the weekend holds. Not much, I don't think. But there does need to be a bit of tidying, some flute playing, some batch cooking, and some exercise!11 -
Morning chums 😊
I want a bit of a plan today. Days when I'm at home during both the day and evening can drift a little...
BEFORE WORK
⭐ shower and wash hair
⭐ Soup in hay box
DURING DAY
⭐ washing on
⭐ washing hung up
AFTER WORK
⭐ flute practice
⭐ change beds
Hmm, in my head there were loads of things that needed doing today but perhaps not 😂
Anyway, my last day of the working week. Although I should also decide whether I'm swapping my days around - might work Friday and take a day off next week instead.
Will today be the day I get some news? I'm not going to hold my breath. We said we'd go out for tea either way when I heard, but at this point the excitement is fading 😕 obviously if I get it I'll be excited again, but if I don't, I think I'll just be shrugging my shoulders and not needing consoling with an evening out. So maybe we'll go out tonight anyway before the shine wears off completely!
Will need to go food shopping over the weekend - we have no bread, no fruit, no yogurt, and veg wise we have half a swede and some frozen peas 😬
Anyway, not going to be doing anything until I get out if bed!9 -
Cheery - I'm assuming that "grade" wise, this is quite an important job. Whatever the outcome - and you know I hope it's in your favour - but wouldn't the potential employer de-brief candidates anyway? And yes, I fully realise that's not the same thing, nor the outcome you want. But are such things not scheduled in? Or do you have to ask for such a session?
Still hope that the minute you stop looking, the position appears..... 😉🤞

Ha, certainly no scheduled debrief, I didn't even realise that was a thing, clearly I don't move in important enough circles! 😂😂Greying_Pilgrim said:Cheery - I'm assuming that "grade" wise, this is quite an important job. In fact, it turns out I wasn't even deemed important enough for a phone call. Just a generic email from a 'no reply' HR system before 9.30 this morning, which clearly means the decision was made before today.
I'd resigned myself to not getting the job, but I confess I'm quite grumpy about not getting a phone call to tell me.
Anyway, I can apparently email another generic HR email for feedback, so I'll do that, and then if I'm still feeling cantankerous, I might tell them they can't use my previous quote about how positive and caring the interview process felt in any self-congratulatory HR reports 😠10 -
Oh Cheery - how rubbish to get such a generic email. It's not like they'll have interviewed that many candidates - I think that's very poor indeed. You're entirely right to retract that comment! Thank you xx I do still think it would have been a good job, and I'll be interested to see who gets it. I'll ask for feedback. But yes, given they only interviewed 4 people I think it's quite rude.
Hey ho. We are making liberal use of the treats budget 😬11 -

Aw, that's pants Cheery ☹️ beanie is right, that's entirely impersonal of the organisation, especially as only a small batch of candidates made it to interview. Someone could have, and should have, picked up the phone.

Thats carp of them anyway but particularly when there were only 4 candidates - rude. Definitely not 'a positive and caring' end to the interview process! Sorry you didn't get it, definitely avail yourself liberally of the treats budget x7

Aww Cheery that's not "quite rude" - it's EXTREMELY rude - and I too am most grumpy on your behalf. Thank goodness though - imagine having ended up working for an organisation that treats people like that?!
